If you ever visit Voss, you must spend a night in Vossestolen Hotel. I will not say it is luxurious in terms of the infrastructure, but the hospitality makes you feel "luxurious." The location is breathtaking. Our primary interaction at the hotel was with a gentleman named Sameer. He was a wonderful host & his kind gestures touched us to the core . In every step during our stay at Vossestolen Hotel, Sameer helped us out. Our train from Oslo to Voss was delayed, we reached very late at night at Voss station. Despite no specific request from us, John Isak, who we are assuming, is the owner (who was in touch with us only over phone) proactively ensured to send Mohammed to pick us up from Framnes in the middle of the night. It was our first visit to Norway & we were slightly unsure of the walk to the hotel from Framnes bus stop at that time of night. It was like he almost read our minds. For us, Mohammed was the messiah who was sent to help us reach our destination. Thanks a ton, John. We are really grateful for everything that you & your people did. Mohammed took us to the hotel and carried our luggage up to our room on the 2nd floor. We requested an electric kettle & 2 bowls so we could have some ready-to-eat items that we were carrying, and there he was, Mohammed, who at lightning speed brought us an electric kettle, 2 bowls, spoons & forks & paper napkins. The food was very good. Norwegian salmon with rice & mixed vegetables is a must try. Breakfast spread was good too with varities of yogurt & juices. The view from the window was breathtaking. It is in a terrific location. Even now, it appears in front of my eyes, such serene, virgin natural beauty!! On the day that we were supposed to check out, it was raining & we missed our bus in the morning. Tensed, we came back to the hotel. Sameer pacified us & called John so he could speak to us.

The property is surrounded by mountains on all sides, there’s a roaring river just in front and I really liked the middle of nowhere vibes. It’s a beautiful place! The hikes around have absolutely stunning views! I liked having the whole lodge to myself on the weekdays in June since no one else was there haha. The lodge is beautifully constructed and felt very cozy! There are places with stunning views to sit outside and eat, meditate etc..

An incredible experience. Everything hit the mark! The setting on a hill. The comfort and class of the rooms. The thoughtful hospitality of the proprietors that are going out of their way to make your stay warm and pleasant, from a personal pickup at the station, to attending to you over breakfast. The food at Restaurant Flor'n was delicious with great ambience. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Couldn't have imagined a better stay.

The position is amazing and waking up to the sound of birds chirping, seagulls playing in the water and the view was a perfect coronation of the start of our day. The host was super responsive and always in a timely manner. There are two cats who are friendly which is a plus lol when we stayed on the dock outside they came for pets. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. Such an amazing stay.

Exceptional hospitality and personal attention. Well-preserved old building (from 1600s and 1700s) epitomizes attention to detail. Beautiful decorations hearkening back to an era of gentility. Amazing food prepared to personal preferences and dietary restrictions.

Everything was great; efficient check-in, sumptuous dinner, healthy breakfast, room comfort, room view, and super friendly staff. The views around the hotel are stunningly beautiful. It is worth visiting the place just for the views also.

Wonderful spot right by a beautiful waterfall. The rooms were clean. You need to ask for kitchen utensils and remember to have a 10 NOK coin for a shower. Duvets and pillows are provided and you can buy temp covers from reception.

We had a very good stay! Everything was clean and comfortable. The administrator was very friendly and welcoming. The location is close to beautiful nature. We really enjoyed our time here.

I was for a treatment at the hospital. It was a god place to stay. Quiet and practical. We could use the facilities of the hotel. Nice bar and restaurant and wellness. Excellent place.
