The restaurant and relaxation room are lovely, I enjoyed looking the huge windows and reading. We also used the yoga room (it also has huge windows). The food was so delicious, we would eat there anytime. We fully recommand this place, as it has a serene vibe.

This was a last minute booking when we were caught with a snow storm and our car went into a ditch.
We managed to snag a holiday home for 2 nights in December 2024.
The home faces the sea and fjord , it was stunning even if it is only 3h of daylight.
Every holiday home is ideally placed to get the best view.
Kitchen is well equipped you can cook up anything there.
We appreciated the attentive and well mannered staff they were kind and never impatient with us.
Our heater tripped in the night and they came to repair it immediately on realising it - no direct communication with the concierge at the main hotel so we had to walk to the main hotel in the snow (we enjoyed the walk though - no cars and the landscape with cottages were beautiful anyway)
We built snow men at our private terrace and we had the entire large living space to ourselves. It was luxurious.
Tip: there is a professional (or family run - depending on how you look at it) husky ride facility called “Into Nature” just 5 minutes away. We went there , they were the absolute highlight activity of our entire Scandinavian trip. Quentin was a great host very informative and friendly. The dogs were well cared for and happy and obedient. The landscape they run the husky ride is out of a fairy tale - try them!

Nice apartment with 3 bedrooms in a ex-fishing village, where tradition is combinate with modernity. The apartment, especially the living room, was cozy, with a really nice view on the fjord. The bedrooms have minimal furniture, but for us was ok. Equipped kitchen.
The ex-rorbuer is situated on a beautiful location in Senja. A small village, great for hiking and walking (fishing) to the sea. We walked on Knuten Trail Head (views to Mefjord port and two small lakes at the foot on the mountains), Hike Fjordgard (beautiful views on Segla peak and fjords from Hesten peak) and Husfjellet Trekking (beautiful views on fjords from Husfjellet peak).
Restaurant nice in location, make sure to reserve your place.
Friendly staff.

Everything. Tromso Lodge and Camping made my trip incredible. We were a group of four so we stayed in two explorer cabins with a river view. It was a magical stay, with the snow and the sound of the running water. The cabins are perfectly comfortable for two people, the beds were very nice and the heated floor ensured we were never cold. Tromso Lodge and Camping is not far from the city and I'm sure during warmer months walking is not a problem. During the winter you can take a bus to the town center, the stop is located a short 10 minutes walk from the Lodge.

The staff - especially at reception - was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Coffee, tea and espresso were available in the lobby at all times. The room was comfortable, though relatively small. The breakfast was excellent and the location perfect. Very positive experience.

Amazing views of the fjord! The food was delicious and the barn restaurant beautiful! Our suite room was gorgeous and modern. We went on a Northern lights tour with staff and went xx skiing and snowshoeing. We saw the northern lights dancing and will never forget it!

It is a new era accommodation of having no staff but all through online communications. It is very easy to access, very clean and comfortable. The views are absolutely stunning, a must go to Lofoten!

Lovely small city, buses are fantastic. Not a lot to do there wouldn’t stay more than 3 days. Airport signage not good, public bus pickup point was unlit and scary to be at at nighttime. AirPort Express bus doesn’t have enough buses on at night.

A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport.
And once you do... it can be magic.

Nice place for a short stay.
Nice place for a short stay. Without a car you run out of options quickly. Smaller hiking trips and ski tours possible in the valley. Northern lights possible when there is no midnight sun. No supermarket in the village.

Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

I enjoyed the amazing views as well as the peaceful environment. The apartment was neat and had everything I needed.
The bus ride into town was a great way to see more of Tromso even though it was 30 minutes each way. I loved it.

Torsken is beautifully situated, but the road there is...
Torsken is beautifully situated, but the road there is terrible and ends in the village. When visiting other parts of Senja, you have to drive back and forth over the mountain on the poor road. Nevertheless, Torsken is definitely worth a visit, and the quality of the facilities offered by Senja by Heart is high.

Tromsø is an amazing city; it’s known for being at great place to catch the northern lights but it’s also got lots of culture and flavor. For a smaller city, it’s got ample bars, festivals, restaurants, and easily accessible nature, that make it outrival many big cities. Catch a football game, hike a mountain, or drink beer from the world’s northernmost brewery while you’re waiting for the aurora :)

The city itself is not necessarily special or historic (though some bits are) but the area around the city has some great scenic walks and of course the outlook across the sea/bay is stunning at any time of year, but particularly in the blue hour of the winter days. Lots of buses run regularly to outlying areas and there are fast buses to the airport to connect with flight check-in times. Take a walk along Stien langs sjøen (path along the shore) to the Trondenes Historical Museum (great wee cafe there) and the Adolf cannon from WW2.

The cabin we stayed in was roomy, wonderfully provisioned, and exceptionally clean. The restaurant offers a full-selection breakfast buffet and a full-service dinner that includes a selection of regional fish deliciously prepared. The village is quaint and charming and has several local, short hikes that are walking distance from the hotel. We loved everything about our stay and hope to return someday to see the Northern Lights!

Beautiful city. Went to see the lights and did not disappoint, even with cloud cover all the days we went! We downloaded a few apps suggested by AI, and they were super helpful. We used the Svipper app to travel around town with the bus, and it worked wonders for us and our wallets! Lots of things to see and do during the day as well. The botanical gardens were beautiful and super well kept. Polaria was worth the money. Restaurants are a bit expensive but great dining! Telegrafbukta and Prestvannet are great places to see the northern lights!
