- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 992 reviewsThe beautiful landscaped grounds of the EuroParcs were a nice surprise as we stayed in such a place for the first time, also the house that we rented although not very big was so well thought that it didn't feel cramped, every house has its own courtyard that is totally private ( separated by a green hedge ) and there's a parking place near it, also the facility has a big parking near the reception area. We loved the living room with the big wooden dining table, the comfy coach and panoramic windows to the nice green courtyard that was a pleasure to look even during a storm that happened on the second night. TV even had Netflix. They provided a small package with cleaning materials for kitchen that was very well appointed. Bathroom with the shower had good water pressure and temperature. Reception was helpful in providing a lighter for the gas stove on request, and offered advice regarding transportation to the city ( best advice: leave the car in the parking and take a local suburban bus to the city, then at the big station buy a multy-day pass for the city transport, depending on your stay) . There is a small store and cafeteria in the same building ( prices seemed a little higher than at supermarkets but not much), there is a swimming pool and there are sports grounds in the park. It must be nice to spend a family holiday there, surrounded by nature, maybe practicing some sports or birdwatching; our main goal was visiting Amsterdam and we chose this accommodation because it offered the best facilities for the best price.Guest review byRodicaRomania

A lovely town on the Dutch coast.
A lovely town on the Dutch coast. Great for the beach, the dunes and access to Haarlem, Amsterdam and beyond, with regular buses and trains to both Lots of lovely places to eat (and what I believe to be the best chips in the world, at Fritures D’anvers) Wonderful ice cream at San Remo Cafe Mio Great for tapas Can’t comment much on the beach bars as we’ve not really used them A nice little selection of shops, you can get pretty much everything you need for your stay, right on the doorstep. 3 supermarkets all within a few mins’ walk of each other, plus lots of lovely smaller shops for groceries tooGuest review byLornaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

For me the human-scale of the houses is Haarlem's greatest gift to the WORLD today and is the reason why I always come back as long as I can. Another attraction is that there are so many cute, little streets tucked away, so there are lots of places to walk through sampling the quiet charm which is NOT TOURISTY at all. The inhabitants clearly take great pride in what they grow in front of their doorsteps. For me it is the kind of heaven that humans can make if only they try.Guest review byPommerelAustralia - 10.0

I had been to IJmuiden as a child many times and I am familiar with the neighbouring towns we had intended to visit. Instead, we went further afield and upon the advice of the staff we planned our route slightly different. The staff are very very competent and knowledgeable, always smiling and making sure their guests have everything they need. For us…our time there was too short but nevertheless a fantastic stay. Thank you everyone for your care , hospitality and helpful service. We loved our stay with youGuest review byAdrianUnited Kingdom - 2.0

A modern tower block next to a MacDonalds, and a large dual carriageway. Facilities for dining and socialising incredibly restricted and dull. Seems to be full of workers - smoking outside the front door. Bedrooms claim to be deluxe, they are clean and pleasant - not deluxe by any stretch of the imagination.Guest review byChamattUnited Kingdom - 6.0

it was not clean, windows were filty and floor also.chairs were broken put together with tape,no hairdryer no broom no can or wine opener.pictures on booking.com look better then it is .lot is missing.noise from neighbors till 8am in the morning.you have to pick up your linen packet but no towels are included and not knowing that you dont have towels if you come in late . it was a beautiful place but it needs new furniture and stuff in it.for 2000 dollar it was to much the cafeteria is very nice with great food.there is no market to do a few groceries . we were there not for vacation but we had a dead in the family .Guest review byMeijerUnited States - 4.0
Everything is outdated and looks tired.
Everything is outdated and looks tired. Needs a spruce up for the price being charged. To charge for Linen and then provide torn sheets. No towels. Dirty and broken shower. Narrow uncomfortable beds...the list goes on.. Just not a nice experience overall and regret booking this placeGuest review byCassandraUnited Kingdom - 8.0

If this means the town itself, well, there are more historic and "prettier" Dutch towns but it has everything you need. The 'centre' is hard to find but there is a station from where you can get to Den Gelder, Amsterdam, etc. Bike parking in the station is NOT secure. There ARE NO CAMERAS anywhere. The supermarket, Jumbo, has a wide range of items. I ate twice at the restaurant 't Schippersrijk" and it is absutely EXCEPTIONAL. Love lakeside setting , nice ambience and excellent food and service. If you want to explore North Holland, then this is a good base.Guest review byHowardUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants.
Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. We ate at the Bella Italian restaurant near the railway station and various other places.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, Haarlem is ideal. Nice choice of bars, shops, restaurants and hotels. Good train links to Amsterdam and Schipol airport. Although, we used the regular 300 bus to/from centre of Haarlem.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0
