- From US$380.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 290 reviewsEverything!! I will recommend and come back definitely. The room with a view to the waterhole is a dream come true. All the room is a dream, the bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful. The staff is amazing, the chef is an incredible human being and the food was absolutely delicious and well served. The common facilities such as the pool and the dinner and breakfast spaces are charming and beautiful, well maintained and really clean. For horse riding at sunset was unforgettable and we could see oryx very close to us. I will never forget this amazing lodge.Guest review byMartaPortugal
- From US$154.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 613 reviewsSolitaire roadhouse is in the tiny settlement of Solitaire that boasts garage facilities, fuel, a general store, a café/restaurant, and a bakery that has what is generally regarded as the best apple crumble in Namibia. The road house itself is beautifully set around a swimming pool and covered recreation area. The staff are exceptionally helpful and I would certainly stay here again. The location is quirky with a number of old cars sitting at the front and ancient road signs adorn the general store.Guest review byPhilippaNew Zealand
- From US$249.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 215 reviewsThe lodge is strategically located, less than 1h drive from Sessriem, on the outskirt of a mountain in a very nice position. The rooms are modern, super clean and spacious, sorrounded by a green garden with many trees. The common areas are equally well equipped, clean and well maintained. The breakfast provides a large number of choices for food. The value for money of the dinner is extremely advantagious.Guest review byIgorItaly
- From US$395.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 329 reviewsThe location was unbelievable. The staff especially Shili was so attentive, he even made sure we had a map for our Hot Air Balloon trip so we wouldn’t get lost. Some people took the Google map way and ended at the wrong location. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinners were so scrumptious and the staff made sure to check back at each course.Guest review byJoanne BarkerAustralia

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 72 reviewsThe facilities were incredible, it was very secluded and quiet, and we saw plenty of zebra, oryx and springbok at the watering hole. There were no other guests booked in when we were there so we had the whole place to ourselves! It was busy but still private enough not to spoil the overnight stay. The staff were very helpful in the shop. It was useful to have the fuel station as well. The supplies in the shop were adequate for the overnight stay and the location was convenient for Sossusvlei. The drive into Sossusvlei was fine but very crowded when we got to Deadvlei. Well worth a visit though.Guest review byFionaZimbabwe - 8.0

We stayed in this location mainly to visit Sossusvlei which is further south. Solitaire itself is a charming but tiny settlement - only a few buildings and a petrol station, however it has an amazing cafe serving "the world's best apple pie" and it was! Solitaire is about a 20 minute drive from Soft Adventure Camp at the Namib Naukluft Lodge.Guest review byJulietAustralia - 10.0
We stayed at the Desert Camp, not far from the park entrance...
We stayed at the Desert Camp, not far from the park entrance gate. It was an easy drive to the park, and the 60km of wonderful tarred road to the 2 wheel drive car park. This gives access to Dig Daddy dune and Deadvlei. From here the park vehicle took us to Big Momma dune, and also goes to Hidden Vlei. All very easy. Dune 45 is 45 km along the road. The bus cost 180 Namibian dollars in October 2023. Wear runners to climb the dunes and walk to Deadvlei. Har, sunglasses and water are essential. We ate at the restaurant inside the park gate. Good and affordable. We bought our water at the shop there. Breakfast at the Sossusvlei Lodge was good too. I would recommend paying extra for tyre and glass insurance when picking up your rental car. Prior to coming to Sesriem, we had a flat tyre far from anywhere and Hertz directed us to a lodge with tyre repair services. We had to go on to Outjo to get the fixed tyre replaced, but the insurance made it less of a concern.Guest review byStevenIreland - 10.0

Best place to experience the oldest desert on earth.
Best place to experience the oldest desert on earth. Wonderful place to spend time with. At least you need to stay 1 night inside park to make sure that you can go to Deadvlei early in the moring. Take photos with shade of light. Hiking at Daddy dune in the morning and slide down to deadvlei.Guest review byOnnichaThailand - 10.0
