We spent a wonderful holiday week at Pulau Perhentian Besar at amazing Cozy Challets. The owner-family are just so friendly, helpful, professional and funny! They create a very special atmosphere around the service they provide. Miss Yang and the sons, especially Adam and Ivan that I got to know better, are very special and kind and they surely know their business! Also other staff, like Moto (not sure about spelling😊) were as great with their calm and friendly way of treating customers. The food! We did almost the whole menu with great pleasure. The Chef knows her way around! She cooked us the whole suite of Asian cuisine with all authentic flavors and spices. So good – especially the curry! The BBQ was also set every evening with fish and shrimps of your choise and naturally chicken satays with peanut sauce. And not to mention nasi and mee gorengs! Sticky coconut and mango rice topped the culinary experience! And what was best, at dinner time, the Cozy expanded the restaurant to the beach, and it was the most pleasant environment to have dinner after hot day! The accommodation is basic, as was known, but very functional! Aircon worked well and hot shower was if needed. The views from the balconies mostly include a sea view – some more direct and some with the glimpse. The rooms are clean, and the additional cleaning could be asked before 10 am. Naturally there are some insect intrusions now and again but living in these surroundings, it cannot be avoided. When in Rome as they say... The monkeys (dusked leaf monkey) came to visit few times and flying foxes (fruit bats) visited every evening at dusk. We were also extremely lucky to experience Sunda flying lemur (Galeopterus variegatus) landing just 1,5 meters away from my chair to the next cabin´s roof... it was heavy landing and after climbing to the roof top, it glided to the fig-tree next to us. Other services including Malaysian traditional massage and snorkeling trips are orginized by Cozy staff!

Well positioned on a calm side of the famous Long beach on the Small Perhentian, Bubu Villas exceeded our expectations. A nice central area welcomes you at arrival, after a pickup with the Bubu’s private boat at Kuala Besut. The bar/restaurant and lobby are located here. Our bungalow was on the back in a silent area with lots of green, you feel you are inside the jungle. Room very big and clean, personnel extremely gentle and accommodating all our needs. Very good food (by far the best on the island even if a bit expensive), we could do two marine excursions with snorkeling and good guidance. We recommend Bubu Villas, we will come again.

This place is a gem for this price. Well okay rooms are bit dated but they are super clean, aircon is good and garden around huts is nice. I noticed some people complain its far away from beach and difficult to reach. Truth is that path from main beach is actually 120 m long and max 8% elevation... I guess its too much for someone. overall a great experience

A fantastic location on a beautiful island with staff and owners incredibly friendly and helpful. My two sons completed their Open Water PADI course at the dive centre - they loved it!! The instructor was very patient and supportive. My wife and myself first visited Flora Bay in 1999 - it is still as magical, 24 years on!!

Right on the best part of the beach near the jetty. One of the only places on the beach that serves alcohol and has a good happy hour plus free drinks . Lovely breakfast and fab staff . We would like to make a special mention for Khayrun the waiter, Wei and Miss Ong on the desk. But all the staff were amazing.

Our trip to Alunan Resort will be unforgettable. The staff is so friendly and helpful and that's why we felt so comfortable there. The snorkeling trips are very well organized and we saw creatures underwater that impressed us so much. We just loved it!

The beach is small and private but still busy with young people due to the multiple diving schools. The bed was not big but sufficiently comfortable, even for a 1.93m tall person. The staff is incredibly friendly and resourceful.

Beach in front of the resort, beautiful views, nice garden with a pond and dragons :) They offer spa, with interesting massage packa ge. There is also sport centre, where you can book diving or snorkeling trips.

Fantastic location, right on the beach with amazing views. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly, from organising boat transfers and other activities like scuba diving.

Very nice accommodation in Coral bay, right on the beach. The staff is really nice and friendly. They helped me recover an ebook I had left on the island, which wasn't easy. Thanks again!

The hotel is basic but very clean, the location is beautiful and the staff very kind. There are food option around and you can easily arrange trips at the accomodation.

Located in an excellent part of the island, with complimentary water given every day and good cleaning. Jetty stops exactly outside the resort.

Deluxe bungalow with view is amazing. Best view in the beach. Very comfortable room
