We stayed I’m Mexico City first, it was so clean. Cancún hotel area was the same but Centro was disappointing. I understand that it is the old part of Cancún. and will probably be replaced with new developmentsGuest review byLesleyAustralia - 10.0

We love this hotel. Just a short walk to a fantastic beach. They let us borrow two folding beach chairs and they supply beach towels. We stayed in Apartment #7. It was quite large, amply cooking supplies in the kitchen, clean and comfortable. We will return.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 8.0

There are numerous sites to see in Merida, so book a stay that allows enough time to go on a few tours. I enjoyed the horse and carriage ride in the night - have a translator if your Spanish isn't good.Guest review byIfasinaBelize - 8.0

On its face, a beautiful, walkable city with plenty of shops and things to do. The prices definitely reflect the high amount of tourism the city gets. You'll likely be paying California prices for food, at the very least. Street vendors can be pushy but there are some real hidden gems around if you just look.Guest review byDanielaUnited States - 2.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 10.0

Safer than the last time I went to Guatemala - about 25 yrs ago- . A lot of non tourist places to explore. Beautiful country side. The only tourist area I explored were Antigua, lake atitlan, Flores which are well suited for tourist, with all the services they might desire. Other parts of the country some level of spanish is required. I spent 7 months traveling mostly northern part of Guatemala, only seeing a fraction of what the country has to offer to travelers.Guest review byAnonymous - 2.0
Small town with terrible infrastructure.
Small town with terrible infrastructure. It is a shame to keep it in misery conditions with the loads of money brought by tourists, mostly foreigners happily walking in mud, dirty water ponds, as they walk in the luxurious boutiques owned by other foreigners. You may find amazing nature in many other Mexican destinations in better living conditions.Guest review byalejandrortizMexico - 10.0

Check out the two light shows at the downtown church and the ex-convent. Both, unfortunately start at 9pm so you might have to catch them at two different times. For more affordable food options, don't bother eating at the Calzada de los Frailes restaurants. Most places are overpriced!Guest review byHugoUnited States - 10.0

Lake is beautiful, weather is great (despite the sudden changes), and feeling closer to nature is amazing. You have good food around, but several places are prepared to have foreign visitors spend lots of money for not-local foods. Seek for smaller non-fancy places to eat in order to taste real Mexico (don't eat a steak here... this is no meat land but seafood instead!). Need a car to do everything you want and need to enjoy Bacalar (highly recommended). Place is safe to walk around 24/7. Buy some goodies and drinks in advance to getting to your hotel to have something handy when everything is closed (remember, Southern Mexico opens late, takes a mid-day nap, and closes not that late). Take a hat, confortable sandals and water-based sun protection to avoid harming the corals. And Please, don't complain about animals and bugs: that is call NATURE!!Guest review byThe Traveler PenguinMexico - 6.0
To warm. even in the winter month a the end of November!
To warm. even in the winter month a the end of November! The real problem, was Booking.com, when I choose One Way from Tux MX. to DFW, when I ticked proceed, Booking.com's AI toggled reserve to ROUND TRIP, But that did not show on "conformation" page, I just though the price was high! So leaving on date chosen, BUT, the 3:30pm was changed, by AI to 9:30AM same day, Or 6 hours AHEAD of original flight time! And to make that even more horrid: we are the get to the airport 3 hours ahead of, poofy 6:30 AM, I didn't the change of the total of 9 hours BEFORE. so my Cabby didn't know so WE BOTH MISSED THE FLIGHT, And I also found the AI double charging when I tried to book another ONE WAY, Tux to DWF, was $498.00, rather than half that! AND according to Booking.com new AI, I'd get to DWF, and hop right back on a plane, and return to Tux,MX 3 hours latter! Not this 75 year old man! So I be taking buses, that are not booked with Booking.Com's new AI! Booking.com did that same thing to my 72 year old sister, and their support couldn't FIX that double booking robbery, so I owe her for that AI robbery, also, making total loss, besides TIME, OVER $1000.00 USD! Since I didn't get my money back that I lost, of $1000.00 USD, I can't afford to book with Booking.com, any more, since their so-called support didn't return the overpayments, either!Guest review byJonnyLawUnited States
