Location is excellent on a lovely street with great restaurants. Property is very nice, clean and the friendly guests we met were mostly repeat long term guests which says a lot. Nicely appointed kitchenette. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Hotelroom is awesome, it has everything you need. View is amazing. The room service is perfect and the food of the menu is really delicious! In gerenal the staff is super helpful and nice. Also the pool areas is very relaxing and the service at the pool is great.

The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully appointed with everything necessary. The beach is close (a little walk with a bit of slope to it but really not bad at all), and the beach was lovely. It was my first time in Zihuatanejo, and it was fantastic.

    Good, food plenty of options. They let my wife make a breakfast plate and wrapped it in plastic to take up to the room as they don't have room service. Reserved in the Italian Restaurant for one evening. Food and service was excellent. There had been a mix up with our reservation which was resolved, though there were only two tables receiving service, so not sure why it took so long to sort it out? The "Funtastic Team" kept the pool hopping with their games and antics.

Big shout-outs to Santiago upon check in and during our 10-night stay; Leslie was very helpful as the concierge to set up spa appointments and make reservations to the many fine restaurants in and away from the resort. Also, Mario who oversaw the Las Brisas Beach Club service of breakfast and dinner was excellent to make us feel very welcome.

    Ixtapa is obviously focused on the tourist money.

    Ixtapa is obviously focused on the tourist money. Taxi service is good, but bus schedules are sketchy. If you come to go fishing, you can take a taxi to the Zihuantanejo harbor for 150 pesos. I recommend finding a good taxi driver, as we did, and get his card and use the same driver for all your travel needs. Ixtapa has limited shopping for groceries, but Zihuantanejo has a Sams club and larger grocery stores. The Delfiniti Swim with Dolphins venue has gone downhill and is very expensive. There is limited beach access, but the large hotels now claim their beaches as private. Dining is costly so come prepared! Be prepared for hot temps with lots of humidity! The tourist trap tours offered are also costly.

    Welcoming, friendly, happy supportive community of people-locals, artists, fishermen, shop and restaurant owners, expats. Excellent clean beaches, especially La Madera uncrowded and delicious restaurants, especially on the beaches. Wonderful shopping celebrating the creativity and the diversity of the artistic products produced by the local Mexican people. Walkable. Safe. Shared shuttle & taxi available for longer distances. Drinking water is filtered. Yummy local food. And the sunsets breathtaking, spiritually meditative. Did we find paradise?😎♥️

    This was my first time visiting Ixtapa.

    This was my first time visiting Ixtapa. It is a beautiful tropical area. I felt very safe. Easy to get around in. Beautiful walkways, and bicycle paths. Driving around is very easy. I will be making this a permanent destination. There's plenty of fun and interesting things to do for the whole family!

    Beautiful weather, beautiful town, the airport is a super quick customs experience, people are super friendly and as always (I’ve probably travelled to Mexico 20+ times) I didn’t feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any moment. It is not as busy as Cabo and Cancun therefore it’s very affordable and relaxing.

    Consistent hot day or night. Easy and safe to get around. Lots of resorts to pick from. Beaches are clean and no seaweed. Zihuatanejo is a short cab ride away to visit and shop in. Tons to great restaurants near Miramar Beach Zihuatanejo. El Vado is an awesome little boutique restaurant highly recommend. Food is priced right and is excellent!

    Great energy along the promenade.

    Great energy along the promenade. Lots of expat retirees and local families. The town has covered sidewalks to keep you out of the heat. Many different beaches with completely different vibes. We preferred Maderas beach for cleanliness and walking distance to town. Playa la ropa was super crowded - we didn’t stay. Playa Troncones is wonderful, quiet, you can hear the waves on the open ocean - not for swimming with children, strong undertow.
