We stayed at Stone Hotel for one week and we loved it. It was my 40th birthday and staff surprised me with the decoration on our bed and a birthday cake. That was really nice of them and made me so happy!! The view of our room was amazing, the room was clean and had everything we needed. There were also the gym and an infinity pool on the roof. The breakfast was good and we had dinner at Aanu restaurant almost every night and we loved the food. The service was great and we loved all the people were working there. We had an unforgettable week and we highly recommend this stay to everyone.

I had a room with balcony and sea view and highly recommended. You can sleep with the sound of the ocean and watch beautiful sunsets. They clean the room every day and provide fresh towels for the beach. Staff is very kind and supportive. The double bed is big. You have also big wardrobe and fridge which is very useful. They respond on WhatsApp which helps and arrange also the speed boat. You also have sunbeds you can use for free at the private beach.

    Our stay at Sun Island Villa Resort was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly organized from the very beginning – the transfer was smooth, and just 4 hours after landing in Male, we were already transfered from International Airport, checked in and settled in our villa on Sun Island. We were delighted that our request for an upgrade to a Sunset Deluxe Villa was accommodated upon arrival. The villa (No. 495) was right by the water – spacious, just renovated nicely designed, and impeccably clean. Waking up to the breathtaking ocean view and having direct access to the water was truly unforgettable. The food included in the all-inclusive package was outstanding – a huge selection of dishes in the main restaurant, always fresh and well prepared. No matter your culinary preferences, there was something for everyone. An excellent à la carte restaurants (we were at thai and italian restaurants and both are highly recommend). A lot of additional activities was a fantastic bonus – from diving and water sports to excursions, gym and spa treatments, there was never a dull moment. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable and luxurious. Special thanks to: BODEY - our incredible waiter, who made our dining experience truly exceptional. He was always incredibly kind, ensuring we had the perfect table with a direct ocean view. It felt like he anticipated our needs before we even asked—always nearby whenever we needed anything. His attentive and warm service made every meal even more enjoyable. AFRIN - our wonderfull host who took care of every detail to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect and we are daily informed about all activities available. She was always available, incredibly helpful, and organized everything seamlessly, making our experience truly unforgettable. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel so welcomed.

    1. Location. It is natural island with lush greenery and a home reef with all the Indian Ocean inhabitants in place. The beautiful beach is just steps from the door of your room. Short trip from the airport by boat. 2. The management performs a good job there, everything is well maintained and well organized, the staff knows what to do and does their work in right manner. E.g. after the wind or rain it was a lot of leaves and other parts of vegetation on the ground. And every time it was cleared in very effective manner all over the island. 3. Special thanks to our waiter Raju, who was very clever and attentive in his service. Also the cleaner, Ali was making our room impeccably clean every morning despite all the sand brought in during the previous day. 4. We have two birthday celebrations during our week there and we ordered a dinner on the beach for each of them. Again, everything was perfect and we enjoyed every moment there.

My wife was pregnant, and I would like to thank the food manager, Mr. Husham, the front desk staff, especially Ms. Anna and all the staff who provided baggies at request, the Photo session, the boat ride, the snorkeling classes, and the wonderful shopping experience. I love food, and my wife and I always looked forward to meeting your kind chefs during the breakfast and dinner periods and trying out all your Michelin-starred buffet-style dishes. We love MALDIVES and thank the people of Maldives for the kindness from the Airport staff to the hospitality and openness of the people to share in the culture and beauty of the country.     We had an amazing experience at Anantara Dhigu. Here the highlights: -All staff were so welcoming and warm. -Breakfast was rich full of yummy and also healthy options like kumbucha, chia puddings and all kind of juices you can imagine. -Room was really clean and spacious. Bed and pillow were pretty comfortable and the shower was so good. -Thai and Japanese restaurants were spectacular. -Really convenient to go from Male Int airport since the have speedy boats working 24/7 and in just 35min you’re at the resort. -The bikes to enjoy and explore the island are so nice. -We saw so many marine life at the island’s beaches. Sharks, stingrays, turtles and so many different fishes.

    This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

We stayed in the overwater villa with a pool, and it was like paradise. It provided great value for our money.     We loved our stay, our host Cynthia was just amazing! Very helpful and responsive. We stayed a few days at the water villa and several days at the beach pool villa, both were amazing, but the interior and amenities at the beach villa were newer and we liked that a bit more. Water villa experience was fantastic though. Lost of things to do on the island - bicycles, sports games, snorkeling. Massage at the spa was great too.

    Meeru resort and SPA is a paradise. If you are hesitating to book I would tell you to just go for it without thinking twice. It is totally worth it.     I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and...

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

    We liked almost everything.

    We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

    Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.
