The sea view room was perfect: spacious, well-appointed, and offering a breathtaking view of the ocean. Everything in this hotel feels new, with modern and elegant decor. The cleanliness was impeccable, making our experience even more enjoyable. The staff, always smiling and helpful, met all our expectations with remarkable efficiency. A special thank you to DIA, our server, for her kindness, professionalism, and constant attentiveness, which made our meals even more enjoyable. The food was truly delicious: varied, fresh, and flavorful dishes that allowed us to discover new tastes while enjoying meals with an incredible view of the turquoise water. In summary, everything was perfect! We highly recommend this hotel for a paradisiacal and unforgettable getaway in the Maldives. We will definitely be back!

Well finished and clean rooms with spacious balcony. Extremely friendly staff. They treat you like part of the family all the way, from arrival at the airport to departure. They even prepared us a take away breakfast as we were leaving very early. The daily trips they arranged for us were also amazing. The guides are the best, always there for us, even helping the ones with lower swimming experience patiently. I hope I can be back soon. Finally, the restaurant at the hotel itself made our trip quite easy.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. We were greeted with the lovely reception at the pier after a very comfortable short trip via speedboat. We then enjoyed the brand new beautiful, spacious and quiet over-water villa with a wonderful sunset view and private pool. Ibrahim was our host during our stay - he was always available when we needed him and exceeded with everything we asked for! From helping us get to places, sorting restaurant reservations, to giving us tips for snorkeling spots and having answers to all our Maldives-related questions. The resort and facilities were perfect - all restaurants were amazing, especially Baan Huura and Origami. Roshan and Sony at Origami truly made our night special. For people that like activities, there is more than enough to chose from. We really can't wait to be back. All in all a perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy time away from a busy time at home.

Absolutely fantastic and flawless! This resort is truly a piece of paradise. The beaches are breathtaking, with crystal-clear water and soft, white sand. Simply top-notch—every staff member was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. We didn’t remember all the names, but honestly, every single person was amazing—always cheerful, helpful, and making sure everything was perfect. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Not only did they fulfill our request regarding the accommodation, but they even surprised us with an upgrade! One of the small details that made our stay even more magical was the ice cream man on a bicycle, who went around the island twice a day, bringing joy to guests with his fantastic ice cream. I loved the way the villa is set up, from the bedroom to the beach—the view is amazing. The staff are very prompt in responding and always there to assist. The breakfast is great, with plenty of choices, including healthy and fresh options. The bathroom is like a celebrity-style facility, making every penny worth it. I should mention a few names who made me feel at home: Anna at reception, Morton, the property manager, who ensures all guests are well taken care of, Niafu, the supervisor who was very helpful, and Saif, who provided an unforgettable shark snorkeling experience.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.

its Beautiful area and there is lot oto do in terms of awsum coral reefs, marine life etc. Only thing that was a bit of botheration was a one hour speed boat ride from airport. For someone with motion sickness, despite that boats are made luxurious to a level, this would be uncomfortable ride.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

I absolutely would return!

I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I enjoyed pretty much everything.

I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.
