- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 616 reviewsit was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The hotel was nestled in the heart of the mountains, with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The room was cozy and comfortable, with large windows that offered breathtaking views of the mountains. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the mountains was truly magical. The chalet also had a lovely restaurant with delicious food and a terrace where you could dine while taking in the spectacular views. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was taking a hike through the mountains, with the hotel as our starting point. The scenery was absolutely stunning and we were able to truly appreciate the beauty of the natural surroundings. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the mountains with incredible views. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I can't wait to go back.Guest review byTaroolahMauritius
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.9Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 529 reviewsExcellent service !!! the staff were excellent, including Mr Dave, Mr Benni, Lukmaan ,Nitesh , and the staff with the towels and entertainment area, Everyone is so polite, hospitable and helpful . The breakfast was good , the beach views were excellent , if you took a stroll up the beach the views are amazing . I travelled with 2 small kids ( aged 2 and 6 ) and they were so at home .The rooms were spacious enough to tuck away your luggage on shelves, and have a spacious room for the kids to be in . We opted for the Bed and Breakfast option , and it worked out great :)Guest review byKhadijaSouth Africa
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsVery natural and serene location. Green, charming and eye catching. Convenient and stylish lodges, open air shower and pools. Kept closed to residents only, so feels like you almost on your own there. Great view at sunset from the bar atop the hill. Staff are best from what you could expect. A-la-carte menu and wine list in the main restaurant is fairly good and actually one could spend a few days without leaving the premises (we stayed for 2 nights). All-in-all makes your stay memorable and we will stay here again for a part of our journey next year.Guest review byAlexeiRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 457 reviewsUnique and stunning accommodation. We wanted to stay somewhere more interesting than one of the massive Mauritian chain hotels and this place blew us away. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL- farm fresh and delivered to your private cottage. We made a lovely fire at our cottage and watched the sun set. Also incredibly convenient location to the Charmel waterfall and ebony forest and Le Morne.Guest review byEleanorUnited States

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).Guest review byDivyaSouth Africa - 10.0

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.Guest review byAnnaItaly - 8.0

We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.Guest review byVirginiaItaly - 10.0

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.Guest review byYogeshSpain - 10.0

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.Guest review byDragicaUnited Arab Emirates - 8.0

Albion is a Mauritian village , located on the West Coast off the beaten track & away from the tourist holiday hot spots. There is a local palm shaded beach with toilets & changing facilities, to enjoy safe swimming & magnificent sunsets. Food & other supplies are available at the local Albion Mall Dodo Supermarket Living with the local Mauritians enhanced our holiday experience as we got the know some of these friendly and gentle people. You will need a hire car and Google Maps to get aroundGuest review byPeterSouth Africa - 10.0

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.Guest review byAndrijaCroatia - 2.0
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.Guest review byMohamed Zaher - 10.0
