We traveled by motorcycle and stayed at this hotel – everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the safe parking and the peaceful surroundings, which made for a relaxing stay after a long ride. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through the area – whether on two wheels or four!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Riad Bahammou. The structure was very nice and clean, a bit old-fashioned and castle-like but it had its charm! The rooms were spacious and very clean, with two double beds, generous and clean bathroom and even a balcony with a view! The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, they did everything to make us feel at home. They were extremely attentive to our needs and just genuinely kind.The dinner was delicious! On the day we stayed the menu was exactly what we needed as it was the moment when our parents had a bit of a crisis during our longer stay in Morocco and were craving something without too much spices but still very tasty with fresh herbs! We arrived later in the afternoon and left early in the morning so we could not use and explore the terraces and the facilities of the hotel but it looked impressive!

The staff is very kind. What we appreciated most is that the hotel has all the architectural aspects of the region in its design and creates a setting that we do not find in 5-star hotels. We highly recommend for people who like a calm and an exotic environment to make a re-start.

    Excellent hospitality by the owner Mr. Mostafa which exceeded my expectation! Excellent location! Spacious room! Mr. Mostafa had been in touch with me even before our arrival! He is our saviour! Our car broke down on the way to Ait Ben Haddou, in the middle of nowhere in Tizi Tishka, in the middle of the night with heavy rains and hailstones! I was travelling with small children! Mr. Mostafa assisted us in contacting transportation to pick us up! He even called the Gendarmerie and informed them about our situation and to ensure our safety! We safely arrived in Ait Ben Haddou at 3.00 am and Mr. Mostafa quickly showed us our rooms and let us rest immediately. The next day, again he assisted us to find another transportation because we need to go to Merzouga. Even after Merzouga, he assisted us again and again to find us another transportation that can bring us back from Merzouga to Fes! He is indeed our saviour! He offered us his help and assistance without any hesitance. He kept in touch with out throughout our journey. I couldnt express how much we are thankful and grateful for his help and assistance. May God repay his good deeds and grants him the best in life! Thank you Mr. Mostafa! Thank you very much!

    Team Youssef have created a gorgeous oasis looking out towards the lake, just on the outskirts of Ouarzazate / Tabount. Dont let the dusty bumpy access road fool you .... there really is a lush sanctuary hiding at the end, & you snatch a peek at a more historical corner of the city on your way through. Built in the Arabic adobe / kasbah style; furnishings & floor rugs a la berber, & with all rooms opening to the gardens & pool. The silence is only broken by occasional peacock calls & the tinkling laughter of children having fun. Lovely to additionally have a salon/lounging area, & good airflow via the beautiful Islamic fretwork window & door treatments. We were well looked after both in the room, & lounging around the pool ... nothing was too much trouble.

    This family owned place is beautifully situated on top of the hill, the views are really worth driving up for. The rooms are nicely decorated and there is a beautiful terrace and indoor restaurant room. We received large towels in our large room with its own balcony with beautiful view and an extra large double bed. The hosts made us feel welcome and accommodated our gluten free diet and helped us with our other questions. It is a place that has heart, and is really a place to come rest after a long journey.

    By far the nicest place we stayed on our whole tour of Morocco. Everyone there is really friendly and we had some really nice conversations over breakfast and supper.     With Studios to visit one day and Ait Benhaddou the next. While each place takes half day each to visit take two days and enjoy the relaxation around the hotel. Staying at The Atlas Studio Hotel your next door to the studios. But a drive for anywhere else

    The Riad Caravene is fantastic in every way. The riad looks like something from House Beautiful with beautiful spaces and lovely art. The rooms are gorgeous, the common spaces lovely. Particularly nice are the two terraces near and at the top of the riad, with great views in all directions and lovely furnishings. The small pool and deck on the ground floor also were lovely and a perfect spot after walking around the ksar. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the food outstanding. We would return in a heartbeat if our travels take us this way again. Thanks to all!

    You really don't need to stop here and stay over...

    You really don't need to stop here and stay over... The todra gorge is beautiful to see, but you could drive up to it and out again. I recommend stopping at Family el Mabrouk restaurant on your way into the gorge for a truly authentic experience. They are so full of energy. They'll dress you up in traditional wear and take photo's for you. They even took me with to the Souk in town. Highly recommend.

    We had a sunset tour on the camel organized from the Oases...

    We had a sunset tour on the camel organized from the Oases Tiloqui luxury Hotel, and it was great. From Zagora is 75 minutes by car to reach the location where you can also spend a night in the tents, that it can be quiet unique. We stay only for dinner after the camel tour. Pity that the bivouac was pretty neglected.

    If you want to avoid big crowds and are willing to travel a bit then M'Hamid may be a good choice. You are 2 hours by 4x4 and a couple days by camel to see the Erg Chigaga. When I was visiting in December there were not large crowds which enhanced the trip for me.

    Truly spectacular building, location, and views!

    Truly spectacular building, location, and views! The facility is almost magical in in architecture...all stone that blends in with the Gorge area and the quality of the building is top notch. Also, great that it is mostly run on energy from the sun. To top it all off, we had the cave room, which is truly unique. Finally, the staff was super friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended even if a little off the beaten path. Well worth it.

    The owner and his family went out of their way to give our family an excellent stay. The fact that it's also off the beaten track is also a big plus. We came in late, and the owner, who turned out to be an amazing cook made us an amazing dinner. We even got invited into the kitchen to learn more about certain dishes. The next morning we enjoyed a Berber style breakfast and were sent off with some pancakes for on the road.

    We were disappointed in Ouarzazate. It is cosmopolitan city but the area around was quite dismal. Unfortunately like so many places in Morocco, a country we love, it is drowning in rubbish. The highlight was visiting Ait Ben Haddou.
