- From US$160.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,153 reviewsPalais Medina and Spa is a top-notch hotel that is perfect for those who want to experience the beautiful city of Fez. The highlight of the hotel is the amazing terrace overlooking the beautiful medina of Fez, which is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. The room is modern and clean with all the necessary amenities, including a bathtub in the toilet, which is a great touch. It is evident that the hotel management takes cleanliness seriously, and the rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. Another notable feature of the hotel is its proximity to a large shopping mall and McDonald's, which is perfect for those who want to explore the modern side of Fez. It is also convenient for those who want to grab a quick meal or do some shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and they assisted us with arranging a taxi service to the CTM bus station of Fez, which saved us a lot of trouble. The staff was always available to answer our questions and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. In conclusion, Palais Medina and Spa is recommended for travellers looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Fez. The beautiful terrace, modern rooms, proximity to shopping malls and great service from the staff make it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez.Guest review bycfoodielifeHong Kong

The medina is a Unesco protected cultural heritage.
The medina is a Unesco protected cultural heritage. Too bad the only thing you can see, apart from some (mostly closed) gates, is old narrow streets and shops. Locals prey on tourists in order to squeeze them dry :) In Rabat or Salé you can get a more authentic sense of a medina without the commercial pressure.Guest review byPeterItaly - 6.0
There were a lot of artisans which was nice.
There were a lot of artisans which was nice. We were often set upon by people trying to take us somewhere and wanting money, even when we said no they wouldn’t leave us alone. After a time we didn’t stop anywhere which really was a shame. The amount of garbage was also quite distressing and took away from some of the sights. We took a tour to the middle Atlas Mountains which was really lovely. The food was good everywhere we ate in the Medina.Guest review byDorisCanada - 4.0
The issue was that I booked accommodation in the old medina...
The issue was that I booked accommodation in the old medina which is a labyrinth. This leaves tourists being constantly harassed by locals trying to scam money from them or deliberately deceiving them about closed streets, etc. Skip Fez and go to Marrakech and Essouira. So much better without all the hassles:)Guest review byRichardUnited States
