Such an amazing spot right on the beach. The host was super friendly and shared great stories about the place and the adorable animals there. My girlfriend and I are vegan/vegetarian, and they made the best food we had in our whole trip. The room was clean, comfy, and nicely decorated. We even asked to stay a bit longer to walk the dogs on the beach no problem at all. Just a dream location. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The breakfast was excellent, mainly buffet style with a varied menu that included everything from savoury vegetable cakes, delicious omelettes, fresh figs and poached pears in syrup.... all freshly prepared, delicious! The roof top area is calm and beautiful, plants abound and there is a large pool and shady places to have a drink or light lunch. The colonial style decor is very tasteful with lots of dark wood fittings ad chic beige and brown colour schemes. Our bathroom was fabulous. This is a beautiful hotel with impeccable service and standards we would highly recommend it! Thank you for a wonderful stay and the free upgrade to a marvellous suite.

A pleasant, comfortable stay and in my opinion the city is one of the best I have seen of many cities so far in Morocco. Nothing to fault about the hotel itself, the receptionists and the waiter who served breakfast (which was delicious to have) were welcoming and pleasant. The only thing that I personally found to be (slightly) disturbing was the "clock tower year 1912" which rang out of sync with the times at all times of the day. Thank you Essaouira and I will see you soon!

    I spent three nights at Salut Maroc and stayed in different rooms — each one felt like a little jewel. Every room is individually designed, incredibly stylish, full of colour and character. The attention to detail in the decor and architecture is simply stunning, and walking through the hotel feels like stepping into a piece of art. As a solo female traveller visiting Morocco for the first time, I couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. The staff were absolutely amazing — so kind, warm, and helpful. They supported me with everything I needed and made me feel completely safe and comfortable throughout my stay. A very special thank you to Mina, who was always there for me, day and night. She supported me with everything I needed and made my stay truly special. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Salut Maroc, for a magical experience! One of the true highlights is the rooftop terrace. The vibrant colours, the sea view, the relaxing atmosphere — it’s just magical. Mornings start with a delicious Moroccan breakfast served by the lovely team, and evenings offer great food, refreshing drinks, and live music while watching the sunset. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. The prices are higher compared to other places in Morocco — but in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it. The unique charm, the service, and the unforgettable vibe of Salut Maroc make it more than just a hotel — it’s an experience in itself. I would return in a heartbeat.

    Every thing was fantastic I had a room off the main hotel set in the small garden and literally 10 steps from the pool ,the hotel itself is realy nice and when I was there,very quiet, which is what I wanted .the hotel is 5 mins to the beach and 6 mins to the medina walls,where you will find restaurants etc

    A hidden little gem!!

    A hidden little gem!! The local people and the magical vibe of this place will stay in our hearts for along time! I accidentally booked our family to stay here instead of Essoauria and did not regret it for one minute. We loved it here and with our car we were able to drive to Essoauria easily.

    There's some local shops about 7 mins from the hotel, but you would need a taxi/ car to visit. Quite basic shops/coffee places for a more authentic village experience, but the main attraction is Essaouira which is a further 10 mins by car.

    A big (and much cooler) contrast to Marrakech, Essaouira is a very traditional Berber town, but much smaller, but with lots of good eating options, (no alcohol in most!) The souk is lovely with lots of choice for everything, and the beach area very nice, but being on the Atlantic, prone to wind. We spent our 2nd evening on the sea front watching the sun go down and enjoying fresh sardines - a nice 2 day stop over.

    Mix of old town, port and beach.

    Mix of old town, port and beach. In danger of becoming a little overrun with tourists during day. All felt very safe. Loads of usual souk shops - especially notable are the wood ones (Thuya). Large gently sloping beach, good for watersports. Don't miss the port - very active during day - buy some fish and get it cooked nearby very cheaply, but can get very busy (and chaotic!). Wide range of restaurants, recommend the Ocean Vagabond at far end of beach. Taros bar is liveliest place, but drinks pricey. Note of caution : We did get get some food poisoning, difficult to be precise, but seemed to stem from one meal at a 'good' restaurant ( I won't name and shame as cannot be totally sure !?) , probably from a salad or fruit dessert ?
