I arrived on 21st around 11pm, which was a bit sooner than I was supposed to, but lady it the reception took care of me anyways, she showed me and explained everything. As a former hospitality worker myself she is an absolute gem. Check in was smooth and everything was amazing. Bed was comfy, pods were clean and quiet. The facilities spotless. Being able to get a shower before flight was amazing. I would recommend to anyone.

The room assigned to us is at level 4. It is clean and our needs are well attended. The place is a few minutes from Old Town and it is right at the centre of the business district. There are few good restaurants around the area although the hotel has its own dining restaurant at level 6, “Kitschen” that serves really good food. It also has a lounge bar at the 1st level. Checking in and check out is pretty easy and swift. We’ve stayed in this hotel the 2nd time.

The hotel was beyond our expectations for the better. Its location is ideal, very close to the old town, to attractions in the newer town. Close to malls, central market, means of transportation, shops. The room was very clean, we got clean towels and toiletries were replenished every day. Breakfast is great and rich. The staff is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended for an enjoyable holiday in the beautiful city of Riga.

    Very good location of the hotel. Even though there were no hotel parking spaces available, the hotel directed us to a nearby underground hotel at a very reasonable price. The personnel was very helpful and kind. The room had a bowl for our dog and a dog bed (although fits rather smaller dogs, but was a nice addition nonetheless). A truly added value for us was the possibility to take our dog with us to breakfast, which is not a given in various hotels! Breakfast itself was also a nice surprise, as there was a variety of food to choose from. Although at first it may seem like the hotel had seen better days, it really lacks nothing and has a good standard. Definitely a big thumbs up for Monika Centrum Hotel!

    Hotel was at an excellent location, walking distance to all sights. It’s so perfectly located that you’re in the heart of the city but with peace and quiet. The staff was amazingly kind and accommodating to my request and it made my stay in Riga such a memorable one. The hotel cleaning staff were also so sweet, knowing that I had trouble with my keys they actually waited for me to get my keys fixed to make sure I’m okay, and when I could finally get into my room, everyone went yay! It’s professional but with a human touch. 10/10 will recommend!

    I liked how clean the room was. Actually, the whole hotel was neat and clean! The AC was working greatly! The breakfast was amazing! Lots of food for different days to taste and the food is fresh and tasty! We got a room with the windows in front of the bed and it was amazing to wake up to a beautiful sunshine. The room was very silend and peaceful too! Wi-Fi was working really well throughout the whole hotel. The staff was very kind and caring! Beautiful hotel inside and outside! Can't wait to come back!

    I like the location. If you are fan of Riga's modern architectory (Jugendstil), it is great place and area to live. I like no robots in the hotel. There is reception opened 24h and people who work there speak minimum 3 languages! Bathroom is so comfortable. In the room you have all necessary accessories, including slippers and even sponge for shoes! Very good price!

    Clean and nice hotel. Easy tram connection to city centre. The big free car park is a great bonus when travelling by car. Staff is nice, and the early takeaway breakfast was a great addition to a comfortable stay. Love that they have separate shampoo and conditioner for the hair. Good value for money.

    I was really disappointed with my recent visit to this city.

    I was really disappointed with my recent visit to this city. A few years ago, everything here was wonderful – people were kind, welcoming, and the atmosphere felt warm. Unfortunately, this time it was the complete opposite. People seemed angry, unfriendly, and aggressive. No one smiled, and rudeness was very common. The worst experience was with taxi drivers. They didn’t greet or say goodbye, didn’t help with luggage – neither putting a suitcase in the trunk nor taking it out – and their overall attitude was simply terrible. Sadly, this visit left me with a very negative impression, and it was nothing like the city I remembered before. The only truly amazing place we found was Kwak Inn on Dome Square. It was super-duper! The staff there were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Compared to the rest of the disappointing experience in the city, this place really stood out in the best possible way.

    This is a very walkable city.

    This is a very walkable city. A lot of roads are cobbles so sensible footwear is advised. We plotted the main sights on Google maps, and got around everywhere in a day. The KGB building is worth seeing the free exhibition. (,tours have to be booked in advance).it is not on the same site s the Occupation Museum, which confused us. Google. The Corner House for the KGB museum.
