The room was comfortable cozy and modern. I went with my mom and dog and even though I had my dog's stuff the staff brought a dog pillow and dogs bowl. The spa was quite nice. Everything was spotless clean and the staff super friendly and useful.

First of all, Luxembourg city is a complete love from the first site! And this hotel in the very heart of walking tourists area in old city part - was the best decision of whole trip. The interior of the hotel is absolutely stunning, you would enjoy both interesting views in the bars and restaurants and in the rooms as well. Though the hotel itself is relatively small, and you should get through corridors and minimalistic halls to different parts of the hotel, it is still very cozy and sweet. As it was my birthday, my husband ordered a romantic greeting for our room with flowers, champagne and candles. It was lovely :) I would like to separately thank the front office manager Mr. Thibault who was super friendly and welcoming, taking care of our short stay in all respects. Close to free tram. They were very helpful and gave us an early check in. The best ever beds....has a goose feather top and apparently you can buy it online. Lying in bed you fall into a soft bed that enfolds your body and you sleep like a baby 👶 the Christmas decorations in the foyer are also beautiful!!

A fascinating city, small enough to walk across but take...

A fascinating city, small enough to walk across but take advantage of the free, yes free! public transport! Excellent buses and tram (one line). Lucky transport was free because overall it's a really expensive country, particularly for eating and drinking out. Shopping was reasonable. Views are spectacular, looking across the Petrusse Valley into Grund and Pfaffenthal. We enjoyed the Bock Casemates tour and a good free walking tour. My favourite bar was The Store, near the impressive Spuerkeess Bank building on Avenue de la Liberte, over the iconic Pont Adolphe. Enjoyed some excellent typical Luxembourg fare in Brasserie du Cercle and a lovely hot chocolate in the sumptuous Chocolate House, right opposite the Grand Ducal Palace. Picked up general shopping and souvenirs from Monoprix and the wonderful Hema. Easy train links to Metz (France), Cochem (Germany) and Arlon (Belgium) plus bus links to Echternach and Vianden within Luxembourg.

I wasnt there long, an overnight stop with a morning walk into the town. The petrol prices were pretty reasonable and there was a decent supermaket and mini mall at the bottom of the town. If staying for a short break I would probably get a hotel in Luxembourg City, as although all transport in the country is free its stops at 2300. Also to be fair I was there on a Monday night so maybe its a bit livelier at weekends?

It is good that the hotel is right next to the gas station,...

It is good that the hotel is right next to the gas station, with a quite well stocked store that you can even get fresh bread in the morning! Otherwise the next supermarket or boulangerie is quite a drive away! The village itself doesn't have much to see, but it is a nice place to have a good rest and with a car, attractions are not that far away.

Luxembourg is a beautiful area to explore.

Luxembourg is a beautiful area to explore. We enjoyed the old parts of the city and see how if has adapted over the centuries. It was wonderful to know that the mass transportation in the city is free for all to use and we did not have to worry about having to navigate the payment system.

Incredibly clean and well laid out.

Incredibly clean and well laid out. The trams are free to use. The city is very vibrant with lots of good restaurants and bars. It felt safe to walk around day and night. A great selection of new buildings sympathetically blended with the old. Good for a short city break, would need a car to explore further out.
