This is by far the best accommodation we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Even though some people avoid this area during February as it’s considered low season, we had the best experience. It was quiet, sunny and relaxing. Anna and Nicolo are the best hosts and help out with whatever you need; surfing, safari, transport, etc. Their restaurant has delicious traditional pizza, pasta and more. Besides that, we saw a whole range of wildlife in the area, including free roaming elephants and crocodiles. After 3 nights I decided to extend my stay in Sri Lanka and come back for another full week at Whisky Point. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

It is with a heavy heart that our stay at Lucky Bay ends. Thank you to Mohamed and his family for all the attention they gave us, they spoiled us every day with delicious little treats. Thank you Mohamed for your kindness and hospitality. We had a wonderful stay. We affirm that it was one of our most beautiful encounters of our trip. The hotel is a small haven of peace very well maintained, its fabulous garden puts us in a relaxing atmosphere. 10m from the beach and right next to the best breakfast in Arugam Bay, the location is ideal. Spectacular sized room with enormous comfy bed, desk & comfy beanbag chairs, fridge & coffee/tea making facilities. Then on top a huge bathroom with wonderful shower plus an entire private enclosed garden. Then the pool was amazingly clean & all the staff super friendly & attentive. What's not to love!

The staff were amazing! They were really nice and applied to all of our requests. The hotel is in a great location, with yoga classes (for extra charge) and the room was big and comfortable. We had a great stay. The air conditioning is great and new. We would definitely choose it again on our next visit. Highly recommend!

Everything is perfect. It’s a great distance from the centre of town, easy walking and far enough away to be out of the hustle. The family is so nice and extremely friendly and welcoming. I think it’s the best place in Arugam, for price, location, the room. They also make delicious food.

The hotel is absolutely new. Our room was spacious, fresh, and very clean, with a nice and well-maintained bathroom. If I ever visit Arugam Bay again, I would definitely stay here again — out of all the hotels in this price range, this one is the best! The hotel is run by a very polite and kind family who made us feel welcome. The location was excellent — on the main road, within walking distance to cafes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the beach, but you can also walk to it (20 minutes) It was quiet at night, and we had a very peaceful stay. There’s also a lake next to the hotel, where elephants sometimes come to drink — a beautiful sight to witness. All guest rooms are located on the second floor. They also plan to open a restaurant soon on the ground floor.

I had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were kind, attentive, and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.     I initially booked for 2 nights and then ended up staying for a week. Hassan was a fantastic host and was able to help with travel arrangements and plans. My room was comfortable and had a view of the beach from my balcony (the beach was about 15m away as the hotel is right on the beach). It's located far enough away from the point and busy end of town that it's nice and quiet at night but only about 15 minutes walk down the beach or main road to all busier bars. I would happily come back and stay here again for an extended stay. Compared with other places I stayed in Arugam Bay my room here was larger and to a much higher standard.

    After almost 15 days in Sri Lanka, we stayed in JetWing Surf in a beachfront hut {No 18} and we had a great time. The hut was clean, the mosquito nets were large enough to be effective {a notable difference from other places we've stayed} and we had no issue with bugs. The staff was very attentive especially when we had an early morning safari planned. Our driver came to pick us up at 5:00 AM, and Pawan, our concierge, was there and thoughtfully provided us with a mini-fridge stocked with fresh juices and a basket of breakfast items to take along. Christmas dinner at the hotel was also exceptional.

    After 2 weeks in Sri Lanka we wanted a luxury one night stay somewhere special, and we certainly got that. The place is beautiful and well kept. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food was fantastic and the chefs clearly know what they are doing. We stayed in a bungalow with your own small private pool, and the bed was so comfortable. It was so nice to have some peace and quiet. Thank you all for a wonderful day and evening. Highly recommend!

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

    Can you put correct price online also. Need to clean little bit more. Otherwise 2 big rooms with AC, 1 Non-AC small room, visiting hall. Everything good. Walking distance Restaurant, grocery and clothing shops . Good location.

    The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
