I loved staying at Babar Point! The owners, Catherine and Michel were very welcoming and made sure we were taken care for the whole time we were there! Helped us arrange boards for surfing, scooters and drivers if needed a tuk tuk. They really made it feel like a home, which was so nice after a few days travelling around Sri Lanka. The bungalows are super comfortable and clean.

Spectacular sized room with enormous comfy bed, desk & comfy beanbag chairs, fridge & coffee/tea making facilities. Then on top a huge bathroom with wonderful shower plus an entire private enclosed garden. Then the pool was amazingly clean & all the staff super friendly & attentive. What's not to love!

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. We’ll never forget it.* Can't wait to come back!

I had an amazing stay at Seaware, I initially booked only for a few nights, but I ended up extending for 10 more days. Sam and his staff are great hosts they are always helpfull if you need anything, they have recently opened, so everything is brand new, and there iis also a Fish Spa on the top floor the only one in Arungambay! The rooms are spotless and spacious, and their traditional sri lankan breakfast is delicious! The location was perfect for me, the beach is one minute away, there is a mini market around the corner, and restaurants and bars are 2 mins walk, but at night it's very quite so you can rest if you go surfing in the morning. There is a nice surf break 5 mins away which Is not crowded, and you can also easily reach the Main Point surf break walking once you are at the beach, I will definetly come back next time!

Hotel Review – Arugambay Location: The hotel is perfectly located in Arugambay, close to nearby shops, the beach, IMC Medical Center, and surfing shops — making it super convenient to get anything you need at any time. Room Quality: I stayed in a Deluxe Room — it was super clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, surrounded by natural forest which added a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Food and Dining: They offered a different style of breakfast every day, along with fresh juice. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service and Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the entire property was well-maintained. The staff were active 24/7, always friendly and helpful. Facilities: Free high-speed fiber Wi-Fi was available, and it worked perfectly. The hotel also offers good parking space and room service 4 out of 7 days a week. Value for Money: Definitely worth the price — clean rooms, great location, and exceptional service all for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Arugambay — for comfort, cleanliness, location, and hospitality.

My sister and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the aprota villas and we had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles. We booked an chalet which was well-maintained room, with a beautiful view, made us feel really comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, from accommodating our requests to offering helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We enjoyed a delightful meal at the villa, where the food was not only delicious but also served with exceptional care. Overall, our stay at The Aprota villas was a memorable experience. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff for their excellent service and to the hotel for providing a perfect setting for our getaway. We look forward to returning in the future.

This place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views all around! The hotel itself is big, stylish, and very comfortable. We really loved the nature here — everything is so green, peaceful, and full of life. The atmosphere is amazing — cozy, private, and relaxing. One of the highlights for us were the dogs — so friendly and sweet, they made our stay even more special! 🐶 The hotel doesn’t have too many rooms, which makes it feel more private and exclusive — perfect for a peaceful, quiet holiday. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help with anything. The hotel has a large area with beautiful spaces, amazing design, and lots of places to relax and enjoy. i really enjoyed my time at the surf beach hotel, so much that i extended my stay two times. my room was very confortable, had everything that was mentioned, it was very clean and well maintained, also the outside area was cleaned up every day and therefore very neat. whenever i needed something the hosts where more than welcome to help me, indeed they helped me a lot and made my stay in arugam bay the way it was: excellent i was there end of offseason, the hotel is located very peacefully and it was quiet day and night, super close to the beach but also close enough to the mainroad of abay and the restaurants. what can i say, thank you beach house hotel for having me. peace

What an amazing place! On a fantastic beach (Whiskey Bay) away from the hustles of Arugam bay 10km down the road. Staff were amazing, food cooked to order and great flavours, swimming pool, even has a bar! Spent two nights on our travels around Sri Lanka but wish we could have spent longer. This is a place we will definitely return to. Fantastic value for money, off the beaten track, our sort of heaven.

There where mant great tvinga about this property! The location is magical; the last building before the beach. The facilities where nice and clean, with spacious air conditioned hotel rooms. You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
