- From US$212.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 725 reviewsStaff was always really friendly and ready to help when needed. Room was very spacious and comfortable, and the sea view was amazing (just a bit bright in the morning). The cafe serves nice coffee and cakes, and we also really enjoyed the pearl hot bath. The hotel also uses mikimoto products in the rooms, which really adds a premium touch. There is also a shuttle bus to and from the train station, which I would recommend using since the hotel is uphill. All in all, would highly recommend if you are visiting Toba.Guest review byKeithJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 152 reviewsWe had a very spacious room with a beautiful ocean view. We especially enjoyed the complimentary beverage service. The staff was very helpful. Food was very good, but did not offer much in variety if staying multiple days. It's a little out of the way, but there is shuttle service available to Toba Station if you wish to venture off and do some sightseeing. Just be sure to leave and return between the shuttle service hours.Guest review byCarole AnnUnited States

Tons of stuff for kids like ping pong, games room, even karaoke. Be sure to sit on the open air patio for the ashi-no-yu foot bath. Nice yukatas to wear when you go to onsen. Excellent variety at breakfast buffet. We stayed here after visiting Ise JinguGuest review byEmilyCanada

We loved our trip here.
We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.Guest review byRizki Dwi KelimutuIndonesia - 8.0

Shima is more rural Japan, and there is many nice scenerie.. There is even very nice surf beach (Kou Shirahama), where i have visited many times. Best in summer/autumn for surfing, but beatiful all year round.. You can rent boards for example from Le Ba Surf. Pearl road is good to drive with scenic spots and Anori and Daio has few lighthouses with stunning views. Also if you like pearls, there is a lot of pearl industey around and you can buy pearl jewelries etc. You absolutely need a car to get around properly, it is rural, and access to most places is just by car.Guest review byTatuFinland - 10.0
Excellent room with nice views. Lounge service is great.
Excellent room with nice views. Lounge service is great. Very good range of drinks and nibbles. We had a dinner at the restaurant (Mondo misaki) which served amazing courses. The most of ingredients are from the local and they were carefully prepared. So good. Onsen spa is relaxing and enjoyable.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I visited Ise to see and experience Ise Grand Shrine. I am interested in the mythology about Japanese shrines and also in the Imperial Family system. My parents visited Ise when they were young and I wanted to do the same trip.Guest review byHisako - 4.0

It was Ocean`s Day long weekend, granted it was still rainy season, but there seemed to be nobody in town. I had the swimming beach to myself (but the showers had already closed by 5 PM) There seemed to be no tourists or tourist shops nearby. It felt like a ghost town with all the derelict hotels. I wish it had more of a beach resort vibe with little shops nearby. The seafood was excellent at our hotel. (Shima = fishing town, not so much a resort town). If the sky were clear, I bet you could see the stars well from Shima.Guest review byStacyJapan - 10.0
We stayed here after visiting Ise Jingu.
We stayed here after visiting Ise Jingu. Really enjoyed the open air onsen, and the spacious tatami room. Toba is a VERY small town and very quiet with not much to do. Ate some great seafood at a local restaurant. Only stayed in Toba one night before taking the ferry and driving back to Tokyo.Guest review byEmilyCanada - 10.0

IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine. There are plenty of Shrines and you will have not enough time to visit this place if you want to explore all of the Shrine. Also don't forget to taste the Ise Lobster and the Matsusaka wagyu beef.Guest review byWing Fai OakeyHong Kong - 8.0

Toba itself is nothing much - which makes it a great place to relax - but the view from our hotel over the bay was wonderful. We've stayed twice in hotels with a sea view and it's very relaxing. If you like aquariums, the one in Toba is supposed to be very good, but we didn't go. However, we've been twice to Mikimoto Pearl Island, which well worth visiting if you are interested in the history of cultured pearls. There's a demonstration of pearl diving and an interesting museum. The Ise Grand Shrine is not far by train and worth visiting once. Toba is great for seafood and especially Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster) which is served in many different ways.Guest review byStephen GosdenUnited Kingdom
