- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,008 reviewsWe chose Hotel Clio Court Hakata because of all the good reviews. We loved the location, came off the shinkansen and walked a couple minutes to our hotel. You cannot get any closer to Hakata Station and the pachinko parlor was literally on the first floor. Our rooms were spacious and had a good view. Our favorite bakery was steps away. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the station as well as connecting anywhere by bus, train or taxi. We have stayed many times in Hakata area but never at the same hotel. Not anymore. We will definitely stay here again.Guest review byPhyllisUnited States

It’s close to the shopping area and a short metro ride to Hakata station and the airport. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff were polite, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with local delicacies to try. I very much enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the hotel.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom
- From US$293.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 571 reviewsBright rooms with ocean view. The staff was exceptionally polite and attentive. Breakfast (choice between Western and Japanese style) was served to one's room at one's time of choice, which I found quite convenient. The hotel is situated next to a shopping and outlet mall with restaurants and a food court, and there are direct bus connections to Tenjin and Hakata.Guest review byC. KlumppGermany

Fukuoka City is compact compared to Tokyo so it's really chill and easy to navigate. There are spaces for children like parks, swan boat rides and easy drives to places like Yanagawa for its canals and local craft, Yame for craft, Kurume for fruit picking and Momochi Beach presents an amazing sunset. Close proximity to mountains and seasides makes this a great city to experience nature but still have access to small malls and city nightlife.Guest review byLuo JingmeiSingapore - 10.0

Itoshima is a quiet beachside community. If you like getting off the beaten track you may like this. We visited Shiraito Falls - loved the waterfalls, nature and campfire on a cooler day; and Natty Dread - a quirky, creative restaurant serving up the best burgers and overlooking the bay.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 8.0

Yanagawa is famous for its Unagi i e grilled eels with a sweet soya sauce. It also has a beautiful canal and you can take a trip down the canal on a boat . It feels like the Venice of Japan. It is a small township and you can walk around the canal to the little shops and eateries. It is far from the bustling cities of Japan and has its own charm.Guest review byVivienneNew Zealand - 10.0

We were super happy with everything regarding our stay. Our room was very well thought-out with beautiful touches and the private onsen was just perfect. The staff were amazing and the setting of the place was very beautiful. I recommend biking around the area as there are lots of gems to be found like hidden Shinto shrines.Guest review byYasIran - 8.0

The city is a bit more worn down then I remember from prior trips. Lots of good places have closed or changed into different businesses. The construction is also more frequent around the main station. The food is still just as good as ever and there are still hidden gems if you explore some of the less traveled areas. Unexpectedly hot this autumn though.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 8.0

This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day escape from routine trip. Some attractions like shrines, few hiking trails and a railway museum are around. Finally Fukuoka is just 15 away by Shinkansen. And this town has its small but charming airport!Guest review byAnonymousEstonia - 8.0

Fukuoka is a great city; one can relatively get around by walking or using their subway/bus system. The airport is literally "around the corner" only two stops away using the subway line. Relaxed and laidback like Nagasaki, it is a very inviting city.Guest review bysilvioUnited States
