- From US$250.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,137 reviewsThe buffet breakfast was served in a restaurant with sweeping views of Hiroshima and the surrounding Hills. The breakfast was also sumptuous (though as a vegetarian, I only had the vegetarian options). The Baths/Spa was excellent (though frequently crowded) with a Sauna and an Outdoor Bath overlooking the City. The room was the right size (and rather large by Japanese budget standards). The bathroom was a bit small though (but standard Japanese budget hotel size). The location was close to the Hatchobori Tram Station and indeed within walking distance of the Atomic Bomb Dome. It really is great value for money. I wished I stayed a day longer just to rest and recuperate in this Hotel after running all around Honshu Island in the two weeks previously!Guest review byUlhanIndia
- From US$77.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,814 reviewsIt’s a very cute/quaint hotel about normal size by Japanese standards. For the price I paid I figured it would be a dump but it was actually really nice. The location was good, it’s a pretty healthy walk (about 15-20 mins) to the castle however it’s relatively central to the station and restaurant/bar district. If the walk to the castle is too far for you there are cool old street cars that will get you most of the way there. The cute girl at the front desk was a native English speaker and made the checking in process easy and she also suggested things to do. The bathroom amenities were great.Guest review byMasonJapan

I could stay in the room all day:) ok the forniture is a bit outdated but I didn’t care because everything was clean and the room was big. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hiroshima was a lovely city of history and culture and an opportunity as a base to do additional day trips to other cities to experience more of the Japanese culture. We experienced very humid conditions in September so would look at the cherry blossom time when returningGuest review bysandraAustralia - 10.0

It isn’t a typical tourist destination from my understanding but the gardens by night are absolutely stunning. The casual is also beautiful and I’m sad to have missed the pottery class. Food and bars also exceptional - everybody is particularly friendly, and perhaps less used to accommodating tourists. Coffee: Empire coffee roasters. Friendly service and outstanding coffee. Food: Hidaya Yanigamachi. Grill your own delicious meat. Drink: ichigin. Super friendly and will involve you in conversations even if you don’t speak Japanese.Guest review byAlexUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Only spent one day at the end of our trip which was enough to basically shop and wander the historical area which I think is the main attraction anyway. Beautiful, scenic, clean, historic. And we loved Yoshii Ryokan in the heart of it all. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Onomichi is a picturesque and walkable city with lots of charm. You can stroll the vintage shotegai, visit the art museum, enjoy a snack at Onomichi U2, take a temple walk, ride the ropeway, and of course, biking the Shimanami Kaido. The people are friendly and the food and shopping are great.Guest review byLindsayUnited States - 10.0

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tottori is the Sand Museum (closes January 5, the sculptors, real world wide artists) come in, the Museum opens for Japanese Golden week. We have been going there every year, since 2013. Always staying at the APA hotel, Ekimai.Guest review byLouAustralia - 10.0
The tourist information Centre was great.
The tourist information Centre was great. Had good information and most. There is a loop bus to take you to the Castle and other points. The observation deck at the Bank was wonderful. The views spectacular of Matsue. Looked a tidy place, well looked after and comfortable to visit.Guest review byRogerNew Zealand - 10.0

It’s a little off the main tourist route, which is why it’s worth a visit. In November the weather was great. It was easy to visit the castle and grounds and a bus trip to Tomonoura was great way to spend the day. A little fishing port famous for being in films and again not too busy. In Fukuyama a visit to the Clock and auto museum is like entering an Aladdin’s cave of wonders. It’s full of the past and not just cars and clocks. Lots of small owner run restaurants as well.Guest review byCostelloeCanada - 10.0

The city was a great inspiration. With not that many tourists around, Hiroshima stays authentic. We loved our day passes for public transport as they came in handy and even included a ferry to Miyajima island!Guest review byOlaPoland - 8.0
