FAQs about hotels in Veneto
Inspiration for Artist and Architect
The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.
Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.
In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.
Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.
Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,140 reviewsI really enjoyed staying at this wonderful resort because it offers a complete relaxing experience. We booked a chalet which was clean and had everything we needed. Also, we had the opportunity to visit the Garda lake, eat at the resort's restaurant (very good food) and admire the lake view from there, buy stuff from a store included inside the resort, free parking place and so on. Also, Gardaland is pretty close to this resort. We will definitely come here again!Guest review byAlexandru CristianRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,432 reviewsThe property was excellent. It had all the facilities and their private beach was close enough and also had plenty sunbeds and umbrellas. The swimming pool area “Solarium” was excellent, It was super big so the pool never seem crowded. The restaurant was also very nice and the food quality and variety were both nice. The staff were super nice and very helpful! It was a great place and if given an opportunity we would love to come back 😎Guest review byTAPASNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 652 reviewsEven though it was mid-April, the camp had lots of services open, including the Kids Club, pool, and animal park (although the park wasn’t open during our stay due to weather.) The on-site restaurant was nice! Our building had many nice features: good showers, nice kitchen, and the stand out was the lovely hot tub with lake view! Our kids enjoyed the mini club and the on-site store was very well-stocked.Guest review byEstherGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsIt’s a fantastic location right on the beach and in the heart of Lido de Jesolo with many shops and restaurants right outside the door. Because of the big parking lot that separates the hotel from the street you don’t hear the noise and it’s nice and quiet. The staff is really helpful and nice and took great care of my family. The hotel also provides bikes free of charge to explore the area.Guest review byTamaraUnited States

We loved the absence of motor vehicles, just people walking everywhere. The seafood was great! We enjoyed a tour of Doge's Palace, and a tour of Burano and Murano (including a glass blowing demonstration).Guest review byJoseUnited States - 8.0

If you compare Verona city center to that of Florence, it is far more condensed, which makes it easy to get around particularly on foot. If you're looking to take in most of the sites, purchasing the Verona Card makes life easier. That said, most sites are closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. You can visit most everything in two-days. Would recommend spending a third day for a day trip to Lake Garda or the nearby vineyards.Guest review byTeresaUnited States - 8.0

The area of Mestre near the train station is safe and convenient, but not very pretty. Like many cities, it has a large immigrant population, so it doesn't feel very Italian, which you expect to when in Italy. HOWEVER, once you walk to the center of Mestre, about 15 minutes from the train station, or a couple stops by bus/tram, the town center of Mestre is really lovely with a great museum, big pretty square, nice shops and lots of great places to have a spritz and some ciccheti outside, so I definitely recommend people to take the time to see the town center. That said, we did enjoy all the non-Italian places to eat in Mestre, we had some great Indian food, which was a comforting break after eating Italian food for 3 weeks.Guest review byChris and NicoleUnited States - 10

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 8.0

Easily reached from Verona and an interesting place with it's massive Venetian style defensive walls. It has a couple of pretty areas, but there isn't a lot else of historic interest here. Plenty of nice places to eat though, with Osteria Rivelin and Amici Miei Tipicoteca the standouts that we tried. From here you can use the ferries and buses to go elsewhere quite easily - as long as you are relaxed about bus timetables. Theme parks Gardaland and Movieland are pretty close by as well, for the kids. Finally, the people are lovely and friendly everywhere.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice.
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice. It's a very walkable town with ancient roots and lots of great shops and places of interest. We were mostly stayed within the city walls chose a neighborhood with amazing shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also felt more diverse in population than some of the other towns we visited - both in age and ethnicity (probably due to the local university and the fact that the city also hosts a lot of study abroad programs). Some memorable places we went to include * Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle (a/k/a the Duomo) * Osteria Dalla Gigia for a quick bites/small snacks (highly recommend the mozzarella in carrozza if it's available) * Toni del Spin - a trattoria with a great wine list * Mangiafuoco - a lovely children's shop that specializes in paper mache, wood, and fabric toys and decor * Noberasco 1908 dried fruit specialty store (the slightly sweetened dried orange slices are like no other) * Camelia BakeryGuest review bySusanUnited States - 10

Vicenza offers a great deal to the visitor who enjoys leisurely strolls through beautiful, well-kept historical neighborhoods with interesting architecture (especially Venetian) and museums as well as excellent restaurants and cafes. The Olympic Theatre is a must as well as a walk in the hills just outside the city where the Villa Rotonda is located. The Piazza dei Signori, flanked by the Palladio Basilica, is a pleasant place to have a coffee or a meal. Paying the entrance fee to the Palladio Basilica is well worth it for the spectacular views from the upper terraces.Guest review byNYCarolinaSwitzerland
