Everywhere important in Florence was walkable from 3 Perle Apartments. Being next to the Duomo was crowded but we fit right in, everyone was so polite. We toured the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi and much to our surprise the Galileo Museum was amazing.Guest review byIreneUnited States - 8.0

Pisa is not only an interesting and historic city but an excellent base from which to explore Tuscany. Lucca is particularly lovely and less than 30 minutes by train from Pisa S Rossore. This suburban station is a few minutes up the road and connects to Pisa Centrale.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great and interesting city.
Great and interesting city. Been there before, many years ago, and wanted to see it again. The piazza Il Campo is fantastic - the most odd and beautiful square in Italy and maybe in Europe. Go up to the top of the tower and see it from above, amazing! Just to bad that the horserace Il Palio was in July and August, that would have been a great experience.Guest review byTommySweden - 8.0

I like the city inside the wall very much for its slow pace, few cars and little traffic, and the walking areas to various points of interest. I don't like the enormous tourist groups which seem to be getting larger and larger each year. They take up a great deal of walking space on Lucca's narrow streets. The size of the tourist groups should be limited to a number that doesn't impact other tourists and residents as much as it does now!Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

San Gimignano is a medieval town which is very popular with Italian tourists as well as other EU/US visitors. It's like stepping back in time as everywhere is so original and dripping with age. There are plenty of shops selling quality foods, ceramics, fabrics, art, bakeries and even a potter who will make a pot in front of your eyes - in fact everything you can think of! Plenty of nice restaurants from simple pizzerias to Michelin starred will cater for every taste and budget. There are a number of old towers you can climb which will give you a wonderful birds eye view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside, but if you don't want to climb then a leisurely stroll around the ancient streets is a cultural treat.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amazing , accomodation great with a bar next door. Many good restaurants walking distance. We walked to everything we needed as we were in the old town. A great base for visiting surrounding towns and winery’s. ,Guest review byKarenAustralia - 6.0
There's not a lot there.
There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenalsGuest review byBoyle - 10.0

Arezzo was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever been. We went when the Antiques Fair was on and the Giostra del Saracino and there was such a great vibe and atmosphere there. We absolutely loved Arezzo and would definitely go back for longer.Guest review byJustineUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days. The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried. Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.Guest review byFarnboUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Pienza is a fantastic hilltop town with wonderful views over the Val D'Orcia valley. It has wonderful streets, restaurants, and historical sites to explore. My morning coffee and croissant in Piazza Magiore will stay in my memory for a long time. You have to go back there and basta :)Guest review byPawełPoland
