This is a quintessential family owned (4th or 5th generation) inn. The facilities have all been updated and well maintained. The inn is furnished primarily with furniture from the early 20th century (not the mattresses, those are new) -- Biedermeier, art nouveau with some 1940s lighting. For a design buff it was so much fun. The common/breakfast rooms are comfortable, charming and eclectic. The breakfast was plentiful. I found myself wish we were staying longer as I want more time to hang out there and see more sights around the small town (we were hiking. la Via degli Dei).

This hotel was amazing. It is located in the mountains about 30 km from Florence in a nice quiet area. After packed Florence lovely to relax. It has a pool with amazing view to nature. We saw even a family wild boar walking close by. We stayed in de suite in the other building. Perfect. You can walk from one to the other between the fields. Good after breakfast/lunch to digest. The rooms are nice modern and fresh. Great shower. Bed is comfy. Sauna and bath, but unfortunately no time to use. I have travelled quite a lot in Italy because of work and slept in many hotels but this one is really top 3! Also the diner with nice wines.

Delightful, beautiful villa in peaceful surroundings. Our spacious room looked onto a lovely garden. Perfectly clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Maria is a thoughtful and generous host, anticipating what we'd need after a long day of hiking on the Via Degli Dei. She had a variety of snacks and drinks available for very reasonable prices, and she arranged delivery of an excellent dinner from a nearby restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Great stay!

    Everything was perfect during this stay. Location with a great view. Room is spacious and clean, equipped with all needed facilities. Comfortable beds. Incredible dinner on site with a view on surrounding hills. A special thanks for the ability to have meal for the kids out of the menu’s For us cats and friendly dogs were also the bonus 😻 Many thanks to owners and staff for such a nice time. Hope that we will have ability to return next year

    The hotel is an amazing country house in a beautiful small village, the atmosphere is peace and quiet and the views are remarkable. The hostest Maria was so nice and kind to us the entire stay, she welcomed us with a walk tour in the village walking with us to show us places we van eat at! Every day she made sure we are good, from incredible breakfast to greeting us when we came back in the evening. It was a great week!

    This is a resort from a fairy tale. From tbe moment you reach the gate you enter into a story of tranquility. It is the best experiance ever. The facilities are great but most importantly the staff is excelent. Everyone is so welcoming and you have the feeling that they are all one big happy family, and they have just welcomed you ibto their home. Highly recomended. We will be back for sure.

    A beautiful resort. We were not disappointed.

    A beautiful resort. We were not disappointed. Hills and slopes to climb but they do pick up and drop off in the golf cart if needed. Breakfast was worth paying extra as it is quite rural there. Plenty of selection for foods etc. evening meal was wonderful. Food was very flavourful and presented beautifully. Shopping outlet very close to the resort.

    If you are looking for a true Tuscan experience this is the place for you. It doesn’t feel like a tourist spot. While you are a guest here you will feel as if you’ve imbedded yourself in the culture and its history. We found the owner to be the kindest most helpful person that you could imagine. Vicchio has several wonderful restaurants, you will be given recommendations and a map with directions to the best dining spots at this fantastic resort. You can trust their recommendations.

    It was nice charming property surrounded by beautiful landscape. And there are good places for hiking nearby . Staff was helpful , and tried to cater all the needs . However connectivity with public transport is not widely explored by management . At 5 Kms there is railway station Vagilla which connects directly to Frenze SVN station . If hotel can provide transport from Vagila railway station it would be helpful for more tourist coming without car . As taxi service from Florence is quite unpredictable and very expensive .

    there is a beautiful lake, many places to park for free or a nice marina that rents beach chairs , with full service bar and restaurant, paddle rent, etc. there is a race track with regular events, golf course near by and a famous shopping outlet, and its only 40 min from Florence.
