Bari is such a beautiful city.
Bari is such a beautiful city. It is really worth going, especially in September when the weather is similar to summer and there aren’t so many tourists. You really must go to Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. There are plenty of opportunities whether you want a sightseeing holiday or a sunbathing holiday. You can do both there!Guest review byClaraRomania - 10.0
Monopoli was a perfect base for us to see Puglia.
Monopoli was a perfect base for us to see Puglia. Loved getting lost in the maze of narrow streets in the Old Town. Recommended Calette Torre Cintola to a couple staying at our hotel and they loved it as well. Also Recommended Micasa which has great location, friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices.Guest review byDavidAustralia - 8.0

Polignano a Mare is very much a tourist destination with lots of people packed into a small centre. It is worth a visit but perhaps not an extended stay when there are so many other (more interesting) places to visit in Puglia.Guest review byDamianUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy.
Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy. If possible visit early morning, or late evening to miss the crowds. The night view is as wonderful as day time with the Trullis lit up. Plenty of parking - either on the roadside approaching the town, or in the shared car parks. Lots of places to eat - all reasonably priced and comparable for the areaGuest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Super Location and beautiful rooms.
Super Location and beautiful rooms. Everything on your doorstep. Staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to help us especially Marri. Grazie Marri🙏 steep stairs if any mobility issues but the only minor downside. Perfect roof top for morning yoga🧘Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Perfect location, as it was in the country-side but not too distant from many different hot-spots. The nature was incredible (we were in a Masseria, but Castellana Grotte in general is named after the "Grotte" very unique and beautiful natural caves). The places nearby - both in the country-side and on the coast (Polignano a mare, Monopoli, etc)- were breath-taking and worth visiting. Overall a "strategic" location for our northern-Puglia travels!Guest review byCamillaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lovely typical authentic Italian town with interesting Centro Storico with its good range of cafes, restaurants and historical sights. No Sky Sports bars, Irish pubs or Sunday Roast Beef dinners (thankfully) ! Very family friendly and a good base to explore the wider area. Definitely not a tourist trap - mostly localsGuest review by1PeterH63United Kingdom - 10.0
Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination...
Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination – I have already returned three times in the past two years, and I can honestly say there is no better place to spend a vacation. The old town is simply magical: narrow streets full of history, charming squares, and breathtaking views along the sea promenade. I especially love the central piazza and the harbor area, where the atmosphere is lively yet very authentic. When it comes to food, Giovinazzo never disappoints. There are plenty of small local restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy fresh seafood, traditional Apulian dishes, and, of course, delicious Italian gelato. Dining outside in the piazza in the evenings is an unforgettable experience. Getting around the town is very easy – everything is within walking distance, and the beauty of Giovinazzo is best enjoyed on foot as you wander through the old streets and along the seafront. For other solo travelers, I would recommend simply taking the time to explore the old town at your own pace, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly locals, and the unique southern Italian charm. Watching the sunset by the sea or having a coffee in the main square are small but perfect pleasures here. Giovinazzo has a special place in my heart, and I can recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable Italian experience.Guest review byKorneli.NastasGermany - 10.0

We went to Molfetta for “The Festa”, blessing of the fleet. A tradition that a lot of fishing towns have. It was amazing. Lots of music, people & festivities. The town comes to life. Any other time of the year, it is a very quiet town.Guest review byDeborahAustralia
