Wow!! So much to see.
Wow!! So much to see. It is tiring but worth every ache and pain! The canals are fantastic . Great for a pre dinner drink. Ensure you book 6 weeks in advance for the Last supper at the Santa Maria. The Duomo and shopping areas are breathtaking. The Dorian Grand Hotel although it lacks some facilities is the perfect hotel both for its grandeur and its location. We love Venice! This was our second visit. There is so much to see and we enjoyed just walking around and exploring! Of course, the gelato was fun! We had booked a walking tour with The Tour Guy which included San Marco and The Doges Palace and a 30 minute gondola ride. We were expecting rain, and were thrilled that the weather was clear.it was chilly though and a bit windy.i wore layers of tops and jackets. The feeling you stay in an old and new place ,like a history travel.Very clean and friendly city.Pet friendly. Beatiful small taverns ,cafe with tables outside. Lot of shops.And if you have some hours to spent before your flight back, you can go to Orio center Mall , a super Mall with anything you like inside,only 5 minutes from the Airport Arrivals. Although I spent most of my time in Venice, I enjoyed the casual walkable surroundings. Good coffee shops and restaurants close by. The bus into Venice took 10 minutes and ran often. I absolutely loved the location of my hotel in Trieste. It was walkable for everything on my bucket list except Miramare Castle. I took the Hop on Hop off to the Castle. So many excellent restaurants and cafe all within a couple of blocks of the hotel. I was taking a cruise from Trieste which is why I choice the hotel. It was only less than a 10 minute walk. Also, the sunsets on the pier of the Adriatic Sea are within a 8 minute walk of the hotel. Wonderful stay!!Guest review byLyndaCanada - 8.0

Great location in the centre of Sirmione. Lots a restaurants to choose from. Our visit was at the beginning of October, however the town was very busy. There is a bus stop just outside of the city allowing easy transfers to Verona etc. Don’t rely too much on the bus timetable, the buses were normally about 20 minutes late.
