There was a slight smell of sulphur to the tap water, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to such things. A great place to stay during the off-season; a complimentary room upgrade was a very welcoming touch.

Beautiful calm environment, with direct view of the Aurora (when it happens of course). It was very clean and calm, especially the slow mornings with the sunrise. The house is on flat area, so it's easy to maneuver, but you're surrounded with mountains, so the view is great. Great place in south of Iceland. The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life. Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself. It was in fantastic conditions and modern styled which made it feel very luxury. We ate at the restaurant which has the same owner as the cottages, and though it was a great selection of food - it was not the best for me who's gluten intolerant. The small town is founded around the hot springs - there was a geothermal park in the centre where you can boil an egg in the hot spring and eat delicious rye bread cooked in geothermal steam.
