- From US$226.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 994 reviewsWe arrived early, and they allowed us to park in their underground parking garage. Otherwise, parking would have been a nightmare. From there we were able to visit Trim Castle, which was right across the street. The hotel is large with a couple of places to eat and a gift shop. There was a lobby seating area with a lit fireplace. Our room was large, clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and toiletries supplied. The food in Jules was delicious. We enjoyed being so close to the main attractions. We never had to use the car. Trim Castle Hotel was a great hotel for our adventures.Guest review byLee AnnUnited States Minor Outlying Islands
- From US$202.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,008 reviewsWe only stayed 1 night due to visiting friends in the village, the room was comfortable, light and clean. Check in staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t visit the spa due to time limitations and the fact we didn’t really want to pay extra ( would have been nice if it was included) ! Breakfast was really good, plentiful and fresh- staff also brilliant in there too - would definitely stay againGuest review byPaulaUnited Kingdom
- From US$296.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 20 reviewsThe grounds were stunning. The property was clean, cozy and homey. The staff - everyone from reception, bartender to owner - were warm, welcoming, and hospitable. We enjoyed our best meal of our trip at their bar, The Platform Bar. We spent a few hours on our final evening of our trip enjoying some wine, cocktails, and a full meal in the cozy snug by the fireplace.Guest review byBlaiseCanada
- From US$180.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 893 reviewsThe rooms were incredibly comfortable, I think this was actually the best night's sleep I had while in Ireland! Bonus that the windows actually opened, I stayed there during a hot spell and this was the only hotel were I was able to get a nice breeze through the room. I think it would be really cozy in winter, as well.Guest review byInesAustralia

My visit to Trim on August 8–9, 2025, was an absolute delight! This charming heritage town in County Meath is a hidden gem that blends rich history with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight for me was exploring Trim Castle, a stunningly preserved Norman fortress with breathtaking views from the keep—its history and grandeur are truly captivating. Wandering through the town’s quaint streets, I loved the cozy vibe of local cafes and pubs, where friendly locals added to the charm. The River Boyne walkway was perfect for a peaceful stroll, with beautiful scenery and a serene ambiance. Trim’s compact size made it easy to explore, yet there was so much to see, from the ancient ruins of the Yellow Steeple to the vibrant community spirit. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a relaxing getaway, Trim is a must-visit destination. I’d rate this trip a 9/10 and can’t wait to return!Guest review byGoldStar2017Ireland - 10.0
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Spa area.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Spa area. Bedroom was clean and overlooked a lovely green area. We found ourselves locked in the spa area as are wristbands seemed to have been timed out. Loved the fairy trail. Great to see board games being played by families. Beautiful food in the bar As well as fabulous Breakfast in Fire and Salt.Guest review byAngelaIreland - 8.0

Ashbourne was lovely to access Dublin if you don’t want the noise of the city centre. Plenty to do and see. The tour of Croke Park was the highlight for us. The best place to eat was Burgr. Very tasty and very clean.Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.Guest review byReddin - 4.0

Bedroom dated and the main hotel bar only opens Friday and Saturday nights. Food options (other than the main restaurant) very limited and quite pricey. 4star prices but basic 3star facilities. Location beautiful,Guest review byMargoIreland - 8.0

Bettystown has a fabulous beach ideal for nice long walks, there's also some nice coffee shops in the area but there is not much else to do there. There are good bus and rail connections, with shuttle buses to and from the train station in Laytown and the main bus station in Drogheda. A car would also be helpful to explore neighboring areas, and a little further a field.Guest review byJackieIreland - 8.0

the house is on lovely grounds in a good area to explore the surrounding country. it has lovely gardens. one small downside is the interiors of the houses are perhaps a bit dated. and could use some refurbishment in furniture and equipment.Guest review byPaulIreland - 6.0
Town was about 15 miles from the property.
Town was about 15 miles from the property. We drove there to eat some dinner. It had a few grocery stores and restaurants. Also there was a Carlitos pizzeria that looked very good but we were unable to order because it was an hour wait for a pizza. We chose the area because it was close to Emerald Park, which was still another 35 minute drive from there.Guest review byJazzykgirlUnited States
