- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 245 reviewsLocation fabulous, magnificent views and the sub-tropical garden was a delight. Our hosts were charming, always available to help and go the extra mile. We were upgraded free of charge to the apartment which made our stay all the more comfortable. It had a well equipped kitchenette. The shower room was a bit tight but that was a minor consideration for us given the overall facilities. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Rodeen Country House.Guest review byKarpinskiUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 750 reviewsWe were two Italian couples staying at Cottage Heights, and it was simply wonderful! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and bright, with an amazing sea view. The hostess was incredibly kind and attentive, especially at breakfast, taking great care with my allergies. The warm and peaceful atmosphere made our stay truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable views in Ireland.Guest review byAnnaItaly

Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff.
Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff. Beautiful ocean views and saw many rainbows from the property. Excellent breakfast. Mo's hospitality was over the top in every way. Advised us of places to see off the beaten path. Gave us great dining recommendations in both Glengariff & Bantry. We had already been in Ireland for a couple weeks so we a wanted a bit more of a relaxed itinerary so we explored Garnish island, Beara Peninsula, & Gougane Barra monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting with Mo. Hope to return again some day real soon.Guest review byGDUnited States - 10.0
Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility.
Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility. There is plenty to do in the area - hikes, Dursley cable car, Bear Island - but equally lovely to enjoy relaxing in a pub or playing scrabble in front of a fire. The people are very friendly and the restaurants are fantastic- wonderful food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to go off grid and relax.Guest review byFrancescaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our 3 night stay at Mossies was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. Felt like home away from home. Every detail was carefully crafted by Matti and Vanessa to ensure we had a good stay. Sitting outside around a fire pit on a clear calm evening was a wonderful treat. We wish we lived closer!Guest review byBronwyn francis - 10.0

The village is small but the access to all the Beara peninsula has to offer is great. We visited Dursey via cable car and that was a wonderful experience. The Beara Necessities cafe had delicious food!Guest review bycolleenUnited States - 10.0

Allihies is a lovely colourful little town with brightly coloured houses, a shop and pubs. The scenery is spectacular with a beach and stunning mountains where an old copper mine can be found. Great food in O’Neill’s pub and a smart coffee shop in the Copper mines museum.Guest review byHalinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Silence, natural beauty, if you want to really get away and enjoy simplicity and nature, this is the place for you. Have to travel a few kilometres for restaurants and bars but this is a good thing, because it means you will rarely meet many cars or people.Guest review byLeonIreland - 8.0
A good location to explore Beara Penisula.
A good location to explore Beara Penisula. Close enough to Kenmare for shopping, but also close to some key attractions like Eyeries, gardens, Dursey or Bere island (all within 20 to 40min drive). Weather is predictable i.e. it will be drizzle during your stay there. When its nice, it is great, but that is not the case 8 of of 10 days. However driving a bit to the west, or to the south, where key attractions are anyway, usually clears the sky. Some roads are very very narrow, but there is not too much traffic way less then in ring of Kerry, Dingle or West Cork.Guest review byMarcinIreland - 4.0

The area was beautiful but the property was not well maintained with overgrown garden. The outdoor table collapsed and decking neglected. The beds were old with mattresses well past use by date. House was not as described and in sad state from leaking gutters on roof, unsafe walkways outside. Access to outside doors denied due to broken locks. Broken locks and hinges on windows. The second tv did not work. Bathrooms full of mould and dirty house. Due to lack of maintenance this property should not be rented out in current state.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

First Class - excellent staff throughout the Hotel - highly professional and friendly with it. Main dining room has to be experienced - attendance is an event in itself. Lovely food served in a timely way. Waiting staff are great to watch at work and they do what they do in a quiet but showy way. Lovely to sit in the hall and enjoy the two log fires and the comfy arm-chairs. A relaxing stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. Old fashioned but we like it that way - no squeaky floorboards - calm and quiet.Guest review byAlasdairUnited Kingdom - 10.0
