- From US$39.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 347 reviewsCosy traveller's nest in Sorong close to shops, a lively neighbourhood, and the airport. Well maintained rooms and facilities, squeek clean (if you might get a sense of mouldy air in the bathroom, please, consider this as absolute normal in this tropical climate with daily downpours), comfy bed, good water pressure for hot showers, superbe breakfast buffet, a gym and swimming pool to relax. Don't miss out their dinner buffets in the evening, very good quality and variety for an absolute reasonable price; several kinds of extra cold beer, red & white and some hard liquors available (of course at an extra price). On their menu, you also find Papeda (the Papuan signature dish). But what made my stay here special indeed was the lovely, professional and motivated staff, always with a bright smile on their face 😎 Thanks a million to Senia, Whitney, Ida, Santo and Audi in particular for a superbe comfy pleasure time indeed 🙏 To all future guests: Travel with an open heart and open mind for local Papuan people and Papua-loving Indonesian "overseas" staff, and you'll simply understand the magic of Papua 🤙Guest review bydrukyulmikeGermany
- From US$59.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,748 reviewsThe staff was very kind and helpful. Even some of our unexpected requests were fulfilled in a proficient way. We liked the rooms and the breakfast too as well as the a la carte dinner. The bar area is cozy too. For us the most useful property of the venue is the relatively close location between the Airport and the Maria, what is also it's disadvantage.Guest review byPeterGreece
- From US$66.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 116 reviewsThis homestay is run by capable, friendly and helpful people. You can observe a beautiful sunset from here (there even is an almost horizontal palm tree growing out over the water right next to it). Food was among the best I had in Raja Ampat.Guest review byThomasAustria

Sorong is the entry point to exploring Raja Ampat.
Sorong is the entry point to exploring Raja Ampat. Unfortunately its town does not match the beauty or cleanliness of what the region has to offer. It is a poor town with limited facilities and attractions. Not a place to stay for a long time.Guest review byMeganAustralia - 8.0

The trash in the water was disappointing and considering we are paying marine pass and diving fees it’s disappointing to not see any effort to be cleaning the seas or collection of the amount of trash. There are also no dedicated trails to explore the island and again, fees should be used to create this feature to enhance the visitor experience. There should also be dedicated transport services to the islands thus eliminating fluctuating and at times expensive transport to waisai or sorongGuest review byDe OliveiraOman - 10.0
Abundance of marine life, slow pace.
Abundance of marine life, slow pace. I’d recommend bringing a snorkel vest for Raja Ampat for visibility to boats and safety just in case caught in a current. Snorkeling here was just about as good as the diving in the area was. Recommend bringing a flashlight when traveling here. I had no problems with mosquitoes; nevertheless, I used the mosquito net every night. I recommend going to see the GIANT turtles about 20 minutes away by boat. There was a lot to do here honestly—-even if I just floated around the house reef.Guest review byWheat - 10.0

The staffs are friendly, the excursion, day trip price is reasonable, foods are full board, meals are great with variety of fish, meat and vegetables, fruits. Location is great and close to most attractions dive, snorkeling spots. The house reef is ok and easy to swim when high tide. Bungalow is huge with 2 stories and can easily accommodate 4-5 people, love the terrace, it’s spacious and spectacular view, we can spend all day on the terrace, lots of fishes to spot like baby shark, walking shark and some beauty birdGuest review byAnonymousThailand - 8.0

Good idea to bring your own snacks. Travel torch handy. Natural sunblock and sunscreen. Your own snorkeling equipment. Packet of travel wipes, for face and hands. Remember to drink plenty of water, homestay has a dispenser in the room. All boat trips from homestay extra cost, Yeabuba Jetty a great snorkeling spot.Guest review byHelena DarsanaIndonesia - 8.0

Was interesting to explore the island. if you stay here there is an ATM in raja ampat city not far from the accommodation at an indomart. The roads are not too busy. We used a scooter. There are cars available to go to blue river or other places.Guest review byErica - 10.0

I stop here twice, first prior to embarkation and second after embarkation. Excellent place to recover from long flight jet lag, and then to allow for the sea motion to subside. Very clean, modern, and quiet place. Very friendly staff. The restorant in house offers good enough Indonesian flavors in the menu, as well as international preparations. Near the port and the airport.Guest review byGuillermoUnited States - 2.0
Not a great place to visit.
Not a great place to visit. City is very impoverished and really is only as a point for embarking on cruises or boats to the islands of Raja Ampat. The islands and reefs of Raja Ampat are spectacular.Guest review byMarkAustralia - 10.0
The location is very beautiful.
The location is very beautiful. Beautiful landscapes, it's a shame that it's starting to become a tourist location. Plastic started appearing everywhere, in the water and on the ground. The locals are only interested in money, they do nothing against plastic pollution. Upon entering the area, you are charged a fee used for the maintenance and development of the area, but I personally have not seen anything in this regard. The prices of products and transport are very high compared to other areas, being justified by the high price of fuel. In my opinion, this fuel price is not as high as the locals claim, being the only reason for the excessively high prices and the desire for profit. The area and location are very beautiful, being places dedicated to nature lovers and especially those passionate about diving and snorkling.Guest review byFlorinRomania - 10.0

i spent 3 weeks on kri , so i cant compare to other islands except Arborek (kri reef far superior). other travelers say kri next best to Pam (Fam) for reef quality. you can walk the whole island on the beach at low tide except the southeast quadrant where there are no homestays. you can also walk to neighboring Mansuar Island at low tide; i snorkeled there twice - the reef extends all the way between islands - but it is at least a kilometer and maybe a bit far for most people. no stores of any kind on kri; Mansuar has a small shop at Yenbuba (not to be confused with Yenbuba Homestay on Kri) wher yu can buy sodas, bandaids, insect repellent, toothpaste, sweets. hike up the trail on a clear day to the top of the mountain where there is a good view of the west half of the islandGuest review byEdwin Roland
