From the moment we arrived to this beautiful resort we felt welcomed and truly enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a room with a pool view which turned out to be perfect as the pool is situated in a gorgeous lush garden. Our room was spacious, it had comfortable bed, large bathroom and it was nicely decorated in a Balinese style. My favorite part of staying at this resort was visiting Kaveri Spa that was rated as the best spa in Bali and I can’t argue that. I got a chance to pamper myself by a relaxing massage followed by absolutely incredible flower bath. We also enjoyed a few meals in their restaurant and it was all very delicious. They also offer private dinner by candlelight which is perfect for some special occasions or a romantic date. Also the resort is less than 10 minutes drive to the Ubud centre and they run complimentary shuttle leaving every hour which is super convenient. Ubud has serious traffic congestion and crossing the road becomes a practiced art. Pavements are a real problem as they are narrow and badly broken up, tripping hazards are commonplace. The roadside kerbing is much higher than normal so for anyone struggling with any type of walking disability, beware. Basically there are just too many tourists and day trippers which makes for even more traffic and crowding. Feels like I should have come here 25 years ago and would have found a completely different vibe. The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners & staff who made me feel like part of the family knowing l was travelling alone. My villa had a private garden & verandah with my own pond with fish & a waterfall. Such a peaceful & beautifully spacious room serviced daily. The organic food & drinks were delicious & the house frozen margarita became a daily treat for me. Prices were so inexpensive so l could indulge. The staff are always smiling & laughing as this boutique resort is a place they love to be also . The views are breathtaking & the peace it brought me filled my heart with such joy. The area was too busy for us, maybe because we stayed right in the centre of ubud although it’s very convenient to reach places we want to visit. But people are lovely. A lots of unforgettable cultures performances and events and we felt safe.
