- From US$1,224.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 524 reviewsThe Royal Pita Maha hotel is fantastic. It is located on a slope and the view from the villa was captivating. The complex has ponds, lots of vegetation and flowers that contribute to complete relaxation. The staff was extremely kind and courteous, always smiling. They answered all our questions comprehensively. All our wishes were fulfilled. We never knew when they cleaned the villa, but whenever we returned to it everything was neatly arranged and there was always a pleasant surprise waiting for us- the bathtub decorated with flowers, beautifully shaped towels on the bed, fresh fruits, etc - everything a person could wish for a truly relaxing holiday. The restaurant offers a variety of extremely delicious food that satisfies different tastes. Special thanks to Dewi Andeni, who was extremely kind - she told us about the history and culture of Bali, which made our stay even more pleasant and memorable. And the SPA- The massages were fantastic - exceeded my expectations. Putri is a great therapist - thank you I highly recommend The Royal Pita Maha for an unforgettable holiday in Bali.Guest review byRadosvetaBulgaria
- From US$554.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsEverything was excellent - service, the workers, the room, facilities. Beautiful natural springs. Beautiful design of the whole property overall - all outside and natural which is a different experience. Worth the money. Breakfast was great (included with the stay and decent selection. I had the Bubur/porridge). The juice selections were great. I personally like that they provide bathrobe in our rooms, we wore it during our morning walk. the Bathroom was outside (open space). The tab water is filtered and drinkable. They provide free local beer, kombucha, local snacks in our rooms. We stayed at Olera and Orin house - just be aware that there is no soundproof between first and second floor, however, with the AC on, the white noise blocked most quite noises, except if something is dropped on the floor and when my friends walked around which is completely normal. Just for awareness, due the location being outside, there will be mosquitoes but that's just how it is with open concept property. Again we're here for the nature/outside experience!Guest review byFINKACanada
- From US$631.69 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 663 reviewsIt was our first time to Ubud and Jannata resort was amazing. Location: It is situated 10-15 minutes (traffic dependent) from Ubud center where the markets, palace, temples etc are located. Furthermore, there is a shuttle 3 times a day to the city center. Staff: The service received was impeccable and I could not fault anything. The staff are friendly and helpful and always accommodating. The staff also allowed us to check in early which was a great plus Food/Restaurant: We had the floating breakfast and the presentation and food was great. We also had dinner (3 course) at the resort and it was amazing. Room: The room was large overlooking trees and greenery (That's what Ubud is about). It was clean and the bathroom was also very clean. Amenities: Yoga in the morning on 2 days is complementary and there is a great Spa (15 min complementary massage was included). There is also a Shisha that can be hired at a fee. Overall, I would 100% recommend anyone to stay at Jannata!Guest review byKarishSouth Africa
- From US$532.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 644 reviewsI don't even know where to start... The staff was super friendly and welcomed us with a green shot/special drink. The room was spacious, the bathroom was nice and very big, additionally, as soon as we left our room, someone came and made the bed/ looked if everything was okay. (Maybe that wouldn't have been necessary 3-4 times a day, we felt like celebrities, once a day would have been fine 😄) Someone served us the afternoon tea (which would have been offered every day) at our room with sweet pastries. Once we dined at the hotel - it was superb + there was an amazing singer who made it really romantic ☺️ The pool had a great view view over the jungle My wife participated twice in morning yoga - which was very beginner friendly There was a shuttle service from and to the city and additionally they organized a moto for two days (price was very fair) for us. I probably forgot something 😄 all in all, amazingGuest review byAndreasAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 669 reviewsBreakfast was made to order and exceeded my expectations for sure. You order the night before and it is delivered to your room to be enjoyed in your garden. You can opt for a floating breakfast but our mornings were a bit too chilly for that so we will do that next time! We loved having our own private pool and the outside bathroom was massive and designed perfectly to maintain privacy. Wifi connection was great. Room service food was also better than I expected it to be. The location is a bit out of town but there are free shuttles a few times a day and Nau Villa provides a taxi service that is very affordable and on par (or cheaper) than other offers around. If you imagine yourself wanting to be in the centre of Ubud every day then this place might not be for you. But if you want to balance your stay with some relaxation and then temple tours (that are not in the centre of ubud) then this place will work for you!Guest review byAndreaHong Kong
- From US$1,206.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 304 reviewsWe had five nights here for our honeymoon and Viceroy Bali was nothing short of exceptional. Our deluxe villa was heavenly and the resort itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful thatched villas, infinity pools, and beautiful breezy bar and restaurant areas, all overlooking the jungle. Breakfast and dinner and Cascades was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of having cocktails in Pinstripe bar and dinner at Apertif restaurant, which was simply the most amazing fine dining experience we have ever had. Above all though, what makes this place truly special are the incredible staff. So friendly, always happy to have a chat and show you around, and to go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, we feel so lucky to have spent our honeymoon here and they really made it special. Book it, you will not be disappointed.Guest review byLaurenAustralia

We thank the staff for making out stay a memorable experience. We were offered a room upgrade to a larger villa and some additional complementary gifts. The architecture, the quietness, the staff, the attention to little details, everything was perfect. We would love to come again and highly recommend this place.Guest review byIbrahimaFrance

I last visited Ubud in 2019.
I last visited Ubud in 2019. The traffic then was nothing like on this visit. As a pedestrian, I felt as if I was having to navigate an obstacle course along a narrow street. Ubud streets are not designed for the volume of traffic with which they are inundated every day now, much less the huge four-wheel drives and hordes (literally) of motor bikes and scooters. Yes, the shopping is excellent for the sheer variety of stuff available, if that's your thing.Guest review byTiborAustralia - 10.0

It's a lovely area much quieter than Ubud but still lots of cafes etc. The Instagrammers taking selfies is a bit over the top...but they're everywhere. Great views of the rice terraces and beautiful waterfalls and temples in the area.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 4.0
The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver.
The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. The villas we stayed in were beautiful, quiet and off the main street, but there was nothing to do (other than get a driver).Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 6.0

Beautiful sea view, near to sanur, denpasar, and ubud, but beach has plastic and wooden trash. During rainy season, moths come out every where outside and inside villa. Kitchen is separate from the villa, overall, villa needs upgrade.Guest review byHalim HusinIndonesia - 10.0

From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners & staff who made me feel like part of the family knowing l was travelling alone. My villa had a private garden & verandah with my own pond with fish & a waterfall. Such a peaceful & beautifully spacious room serviced daily. The organic food & drinks were delicious & the house frozen margarita became a daily treat for me. Prices were so inexpensive so l could indulge. The staff are always smiling & laughing as this boutique resort is a place they love to be also . The views are breathtaking & the peace it brought me filled my heart with such joy. I highly recommend this to any traveller .Guest review byDianneAustralia - 6.0

Ubud is a fun and interesting place to visit but as everyone warns you THE TRAFFIC.....is terrible. We took over 1 hour to go 6km to dinner. Overall there is a lot to do and see but the time it takes puts you off compared to a quiet area like Nusa Dua which we prefer. We have no plans to return to Ubud as we went Quad Bike riding, saw the rice fields and the big swings and went to Bali Pulina to taste Luwak Coffee. There is really nothing else we wish to see or do and want to avoid the traffic every again!Guest review byKELLYAustralia
