Great place to relax over a weekend. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Room service is top. Mini bar has all necessary drinks. There’s a coffee machine with Nespresso coffee capsules. Breakfast is just awesome. You should take time and try all the goodies, including Eggs Benedict, omelette, ham and eggs that chef prepares individually. Spa and outside pool is great.

Nice hotel a bit outside of the city. Room is nice, very clean, climatised, bed was very comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful, breakfast was really good. I got some plant-based milk for my coffee when I asked :) There is also a nice terrace where you can just chill and relax.

    Everything is perfect here really! When you arrive, you feel like James Bond in this Hotel with an amazing Architecture and Decoration. - Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot at both girl from day and night! - Restaurant for dinner is amazing quality for the money Wow. Staff is very professional, good choice of wines by the glass also. The decoration if this place is really nice! Again you feel like James Bond! Thanks to all the staff! - Breakfast is very good, big choice of different things including eggs menu (with bo extra charge). - Spa and Fitness is very nice and big. I like when everything is indoor. The staff is very friendly there too. - Bar and Cafeteria us amazing. Thanks to the friendly staff! - Room is big, well equipped and new . Bed is very nice and you'll sleep like a baby.     Personnel are kind, polite and warm. The superior room is comfortable, clean and with a nice view on Balatonfüred and the lake Balaton. Buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal are various and let you have a taste of hungarian cuisine. The position of the hotel is central: close to the wonderful Tihany, a few minutes on foot from the railway station, the bus stations and the cycle lanes.

    The selection of buffet breakfast and dinner is amazing, plenty of choices, fresh fruits, different kind of meat foods, cakes, soft drinks and so on... delicious and excellent. Bed was comfortable and big, nice room with small fridge for cooling drinks. Very nice outside and inside pools and free entry to the beach at the lake.

    I found service in Balatonfüred uneven.

    I found service in Balatonfüred uneven. The low point was restaurant Il Lago at the lakefront: despite looking inviting, the service felt dismissive and the prices were high for what we received. If you don't speak Hungarian, expect German to be the main language while English is less widely used.

    Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence.

    Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence. I recommend visiting outside the main tourist season. The prices are higher, but the place offers an excellent starting point for walking, cycling or car tourism around Lake Balaton.

    Nice, small city with (paid) beach at Balaton lake. Full of tourist in the centre(parkings also paid) but if you go uphill - towards hills - you can find not only delicious wine but relaxing atmosphere.

    Veszprem is a small city, with some very impressive...

    Veszprem is a small city, with some very impressive architecture, and interesting history. Also a nice place to just explore . The area along the riverside which passes the bottom entrance to the zoo then reaches a really nice park is a favoured walk for us . The centre has a good selection of restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and budgets . One thing to be aware of is that lunch is the Hungarian main meal of the day , therefore we have a couple of times tried to get a meal a bit later on the evening , depending on the time of year or day of the week that has sometimes been hard to find . Getting around , we can walk anywhere it’s a compact city . We generally get a lift from family to and from Station, after that we walk , if your fairly fit and can walk for about an hour I think you won’t need public transport but it is available if required . We are 3 adults so can’t say what children would like other the zoo and ice cream shops which are very good .

    Great place to be in the summer but also off-season. Clean and cozy atmosphere with just enough things to do. The beach is exceptionally clean and the water is good for swimming. Better than on the south side of the lake.

    This resort was easy to get to.

    This resort was easy to get to. The Strand had everything that you need, easy access to the water, good locker facilities, entertainment and play areas for children, and some unassuming yet delicious restaurants. It is easy to travel to Tihany, Balatonfured and the whole of the North shore. There are also several good supermarkets in and around Alsóörs.

    Tapolca is a small, charming town where the Mill Pond and the Lake Cave offer a truly unique experience. Romantic little cafés, restaurants, and shopping centers (yes, even a McDonald's) are also available, catering well to those with such preferences.

    The staff were for me the stand out in the overall experience. This hotel is great for families who want to be close to the beach. The rate we had was inclusive of evening meal and breakfast. Food was perfectly adequate and atypical of this type of hotel - but tasty and lots of it!

    Getting around without car isn’t easy.Luckily for us Lua resort offered enough for us to do.We weren’t crazy about the restaurants on the promenade.Still we had a great relaxing time in Balantonfured.

    The town is small and quiet-ish.

    The town is small and quiet-ish. There are some nice hikes worth taking, especially at sunset. (check the Guard Tower Area and the ) Not sure if it's all year round, but in September many of the restaurants and terraces were closing at 18:00 local time. You can take the long route north to get to Tihany, but the ferry is faster and not that expensive (in 2023 about 10 EUR for 1 car + 1 person).
