LOT'S OF HISTORICAL PLACES. DYNAMITE. THE SIGHTSEEING BUS WHAT A GREAT IDEA, HOWEVER ONLY RUNS ON WEEKENDS. THE REST OF THE WEEK IS JUST PARKED AT A PARKING LOT. WHAT A WASTE. DURING THE WEEK, MAY NOT HAVE THAT MANY PEOPLE, BUT THEY COULD HAVE RUN IT AT LEAST 2 TIMES A DAY. ONE AT MIDDAY, ONE AT IN THE AFTERNOON. Budapest is amazing.
Budapest is amazing. We stayed three nights and could have stayed 3 weeks. The city is very accessible with an excellent public transport system which is easy to navigate if you have a map. Even if you only cover a quarter of the sights on your list, you feel like you have seen plenty. Plus there are so many hidden gems you just happen to find. We only had good experiences with the people in Budapest, which is not always the case when you travel as a tourist. Most speak English and are indeed happy to communicate any which way. I cannot comment on the night life since we were to exhausted from our sightseeing to make it past 21:00 before we returned to our accommodation. Its a nice quite place. Little bit away from the bus connections that's good if you want peace and quite. Good to spent night to catch a flight next day. It will be great if a shuttle service available to and from airport. Taxi normally cost 10 Euros each way. For amenities there is a small shop nearby and you can get to LIDL, Tesco etc. by 15mins walk.
