The room is spacious and it was visited by the cleaner everyday, which came as a surprise, because we didn't expect it and it felt good to come back to the clean room everyday after our breakfast. The bed is surprisingly big. Balcony has two comfortable chairs with a table AND two additional lounge chairs and a separate table. We were pleasantly surprised by the room size and balcony size. Both are spacious and bright. Hotel was peaceful, the hotel staff is amazing. Everyone from waiters in the lobby restaurant, receptionists, sauna and pool staff, waiters in the restaurant were on the top of their game and I firmly believe they deserve a raise and would definitely benefit from upgrading their current monthly salary (little bird told us their current salaries leave a lot to be desired). There are two swimming pools available, outside and inside. Both pools have salt water (I guess it comes from the sea and goes through some sort of filtering facility). We used both extensively. The inside pool has a warm water, while the water in the outside pool is colder, but still great. We took a half board and we were satisfied by the selection of food for both breakfast and dinner. Food varied and everyday there was something new to try. Was it the best food there is? No, but it was up to the high standards and we enjoyed it. Lovely location with fantastic views , lots of faded elegance. It’s a place that was obviously frequented by rich tourists,but time has moved on and sadly now lots of the buildings are incredibly shabby. The restaurants are of a good standard,and the fish is excellent. Very close distance to the beaches and to Opatia , Rijeka, Pula, local LIDL supermarket, Plodine supermarket also too close , bakeries which provides fresh burek,fresh pizzas, fresh bread and freshly made cakes especially Trileçe, restaurants and coffee bars, lovely food. A quiet and authentic village of Croatia in the region. Narrow streets, clean and cozy place. Less than two hundred inhabitants live there. You can discover it in an hour, but you will fall in love with it immediately. There is a shop and a restaurant in the center. The shop is a small one, but you can find everything for your daily needs. During the main season, it is advisable to book a table in advance in the restaurant. The beach is a bit far from the village, it's about 1.2 km downhill. There is a shuttle bus available for a reasonable price. Little coast cities in Croatia mostly look alike, very charming and cozy. People there also are friendly, but in seasons maybe not every place in Adriatic seaside are super clients oriented, I mean restaurants and cafe's, in some of them you can wait for waiters to come, or for a dish to be done. But it's not a problem, case is solvable, you just choose a place, and visit those that are more client loving). The area is perfect for relax and recreation. There are a lot of restaurants on a variant price level. The place has Hungarian connections too during the historical time. There are a lot of sculpture of famous people who also has connection to the bay. Small town with a wonderful little OldTown part. I especially like that there is not too many tourists and that you can both enjoy the town beach just as the wild rocky beaches where you have more privacy! I would recommend Lovranski Pub and Delfino for GREAT meal! The walk road by the see - LungoMare give you a huge pleasure by the sea from Lovran to Volosko!
