Still a Wonder
Wonderful Rhodes has amazing beaches, nightlife and history. Its capital – Rhodes Town – once boasted the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.
Although sadly no trace of it exists in the harbour, its Old Town is still UNESCO World Heritage listed. This is because of the magnificent Palace of the Grand Master, a 14th-century castle once home to the Knights Hospitaller.
Just around the coast is Faliraki, the nightlife hotspot with clubs, bars and restaurants galore. Afantou and Kolymbia to the south have long, golden beaches, but the island’s crowning glory has to be Lindos. If you arrive by sea, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’ve reached paradise.
Home to some of the best Rhodes hotels, Lindos is a picture-perfect town with whitewashed houses hugging the sides of a hill that is topped with remains of an acropolis. On the other side of the hill is St Paul’s Bay where the apostle’s boat reportedly ran aground.
Lardos and Kiotari further south have a good range of Rhodes hotels by the beach available on Booking.com, while on the other side of the island Kremasti and neighbouring Trianda (also known as Ialysos) have a good range of watersports and quick transfers from Rhodes Airport.

The breakfsts is the same every day but it has so many good choices that there is no way to not find something different every day.Fresh juice,nice coffie and all that with a perfect view of the sea.And the food never runs out,the personeel from the kitchen is constantly watching and constantly refilling.For my husband's birthday they sent a bottle of vine again and a nice small cake with happy birthday on it.We were amaised.And they also sent him a gift from the spa collection.The employees are very kind and the salute you every time.Here a special thanks to Veroniky from the waitresses,just a wonderfull person and the girl at the small reception compjuter that gave us informations on where to go and what to visit. Even though the other hotel was 4 stars and this one is 3, we honestly preferred this one by far! The hotel and room were beautiful, well-maintained, and had a high-quality feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. After losing our door card to the wind, we casually asked once for cleaning, and from then on we received fresh towels and cleaning every day — such a nice surprise! The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, and even when some meals weren’t to our taste (understandable with so many nationalities), we always found plenty of delicious options to fill our plates multiple times. Special thanks to Dimitrij and the restaurant staff — they were fantastic and very helpful. The only downsides were the desserts (not really our taste, same as in the first hotel) and the morning coffee. But everything else made up for it. Our room had a view over the pool and the evening animator programs — they looked like a lot of fun! Big thanks to the super cool and easygoing girl at reception who checked us in. The breakfast surpassed all expectations – even my girlfriend, who has visited numerous 5-star hotels, couldn't name a better breakfast. The staff were extremely attentive and seemed to anticipate our every need. The cleaning was meticulous and thorough down to the smallest detail. An unexpected complimentary upgrade from the Loft Suite to the Private Pool Suite was the cherry on top of our stay. Although we didn't have a private whirlpool as booked, we were able to use the spa's whirlpool as an alternative, free of charge. The hotel's restaurant, while slightly pricier, more than made up for it with its quality, and the savings on taxi fares to an external restaurant were significant. The welcome gift of Prosecco, a fruit platter, and a bottle of water was a nice touch. Privacy was always respected, and we felt comfortable and secure at all times. The conference room was perfect for our remote meeting needs. Casa Cook exceeded our expectations in every way. The high-quality Korres shower and body care products were replenished daily, adding to our overall well-being. Rhodes town is a fascinating place. It is easy and safe to walk round at night and there is a good choice of restaurants. It does get crowded during the day however. Lovely beach - long enough for a good walk too. Near the southern end you can get in the water without too many rocks. You can get in other places too, but you just have some rocks. I avoided this by swimming over the rocks even when it was pretty shallow, just to save my feet. The water was nice and warm in October. I really enjoyed swimming there. Lots of restaurants along the beach. And I noticed opportunities for boat rides and water sports. This seems to be a nice family-oriented beach. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas along the way. Easy bus ride (20 min) to get into Rhodes town, so for me it was the perfect spot for relaxing, but with the option to go into the city very easily.Guest review byFarr - 10.0

I adore Lindos and have been visiting for many years. The people are lovely and the place is a foodies delight. The beaches are lovely and safe for children, as no tides. Similar hotels in the area are separated from their own private beach by a road, so having the beach right next to the hotel is a greate advantage of this hotel! All-inclusive service was exactly as described: great variety of foods, alcohol free and also alcoholic bevarages are served from 10:00 in the bars (including heavenly frappes!), but on some days champagne was available for breakfast. Snack bar also had a great variety of foods. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling and kind! The animation team and pool bar service were highlights of our stay. What we didn’t like was the limited selection of nonalcoholic drinks, the extra cost for water despite having all-inclusive, and the outdated room standard. Close enough to Rhodes Old Town to visit regularly if you want. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Lively, but not rowdy. As a kitesurfer, it offered me a choice of beaches and kite stations within 25 mins. Also, the sea breeze was pretty reliable most afternoons. My family thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque sunset horse riding that took place just in front of Rainbow Bar. All staff amazing except the pool service bar. Not attentive enough, had to go for drinks myself to be told we will come to you then it took at least half an hour! One of the lunches that I ordered eventually turned up and was completely cold, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said it was the kitchens fault! Note this review is for Stegna, not the main village on the hill. Its really a lovely spot for a beach style holiday. Places for fishing, chilling, enjoying eating, a lovely walk. Perfect chill spot with a family feel. If you are looking for night life and big hotels, this is not the spot for you. Pefki is a lovely place to stay, much less buisier than Lindos next door which pulls large number of visitors during the day. Main Lee beach is sandy with plentyfull sunbeds, spaces on the eastern side of the beach otherwise. Very Good choice of restaraunts Nikolas and Tsambikos being our favourites. Car hire with full insurance for a week cost us £190 in Pefkos, necessary for conveniance but not essential as there is a good bus sevice along the main east coast road.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
