Once arrived in the resort, we were warmly greeted by the super friendly staff with delicious fruits and beverage. My girlfriend and I travelled on the special occasion of my birthday; we were surprised to receive the best treatment we could ever imagined of a hotel: they upgraded our room to the best possible type, decorated the room with beautiful balloons , written a warm letter with nice wishes, and offered 2 (!) wonderful cakes for our celebration. I therefore had one of my best birthday celebration on this lovely hotel. Moreover, during the rest of our one-week stay, we were more than pleasant with all aspects of the resort, for example the large variety of the food offered in the breakfast, the alwasy smiling and greeting crew members, the extremely smooth check-in and check-out process, the well-functioning and super comforting sauna area, and the amazing live performance of the lobby bar. All in all, they live well up to, and indeed largely exceed, our expectation and understanding of a five-star hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend this luxury resort to everyone reading this review.

Just wonderful! Loved the atmosphere with the cute little pool in the courtyard and my bedroom was beautiful and so well designed. It was small but perfectly formed. Quality towels bathrobes slippers and a cute canvas bag with towels for beach was great! I felt so comfortable and relaxed here and will definitely return with my husband. Great kitchen for those who want to self cater and constant complimentary water coffee tea etc it would be ideal for a private group to book the rooms and have the place together with a kitchen like that and a great front living area. In all my travels I never met anyone as sweet as the cleaning lady she was adorable with a heart of gold and she works so hard and has the place gleaming! Even without English speaking we could communicate and I loved meeting her. The manager was a very nice lady with lots of information about the history of the house. I will be back! :) Oh and the bed was perfect as was the pillows and good pillows are hard to find in hotels!

    For now - it's my favourite all inclusive hotel. I've been to many all-inclusives in other countries, but this hotel, it exceeded my expectations. Maybe I didn't expect anything, I thought “at least they would feed me and there would be no russians” but here we came and every day we said that this is incredible hotel and it has a place in our hearts. Here is some info: 1) This is an adult hotel. And that says it all. This is WOW. When you want to relax, to have a quite place, to swim quietly and read a book, this is the perfect place. Sometimes it seemed to us that people were whispering to each other when they were lying on the sun loungers so as not to disturb others. And overall, I liked the hotel guests, no drunk and shouting people, but polite and calm people. 2) Staff. Well, this is a separate love. We often talked to animators and bartenders. They are so cool and nice people. We already miss you Stelly, Chris, Alex, the cool lifeguard at the pool and the bartenders. The kitchen and restaurant staff - you are just beyond praise, you are super professionals! 3) Room. We had a junior suite. Very well maintained, beautiful and stylish. Had everything we needed. Very clean and cool view from the terrace! 4) Food. OMG!!! How delicious and varied it was! I don't like oatmeal, but here I ate even it :)) I liked absolutely everything. There are evenings of different cuisines, for example, Greek, Italian, Asian, etc. There was always different meat, every day there was some kind of fish, and sometimes a whole aquatic kingdom (tuna steaks, salmon, shrimp, octopus, mussels, and other types of fish). Sweets are just the top. Lots of fruits, vegetables, salads, pizza, pasta, soups and much more. As for drinks, we used to buy water in the store. The taste of beverages from the machine - like salt water. Cocktails also have a slightly salty taste, so we ordered a Prosecco. 5) Hotel.

    We had the best experience at The syntopia, blown away about the service, soooo good food, drinks, room and hospitality. The Syntopia is really the hotel to go to if you want a relaxing and luxury experience. Big thanks to Michael in the reception for taking such good care of us and made us keep our room full day for our late departure, really recommend to take the all inclusive part, then you will have the big range of drinks during the full day and the food was way over all our expecations. Also Harah from the pool service who always had a smile on her face and kept us hydrated by the pool every day. Rooms are also very high designed with inspiring interior.     A gem in the mountain. You feel peaceful as soon as you arrive, although it is 15 min drive from the coast. Very nicely renovated, with plenty of places to sit and relax. Only one small minus - is the shower/bath was too small for us and if you are coming for the beach then this place maybe isn´t for you it was fine but not for a lot of swimming. A city can be beautiful and full of wonderful things to see and do, but its always the people that make your stay. i expected Tourist Fatigue by the time we went in September. But everyone we met was gracious helpful warm and kind.

    A very good base for very many superb beaches in southern Crete, with a nice beach within the town, some great shops and very good eating options both within the town and the surrounding villages. Not spoiled by mass tourism as many other places in the island, yet neither too remote and hard to reach. Just perfect.

    Adorable, quaint and full of charm. At night the village centre close the roads, bring out the tables and chairs and the streets are filled with the sights, smells and sounds of Cretan joy. One of the places I will miss the most and can’t wait to return too.

    Our main. reason for visiting the area was because we were attending a wedding. I did find that Adelianos Kampos was located near to a lot of pick ups for tours around Crete to allow you to experience other areas around the island. Many places to eat around the area, but none that really stuck out for me that I would recommend. Just walk around the area because there is much to choose from.

    I really like Platanes, it's not too far from the busy Rethymno centre and slightly more relaxed than being near the main areas, but still has nice restaurants and beach bars etc. and good access to main roads etc. if you like to get out and adventure without getting stuck in congestion, which can sometime be found neare to centre.

    People say not much there, but we felt it had everything there. Good supermarket, beach good as not spoiled by sun beds all over so you can actually see the beach. Several great bakeries and some good restaurants to choose from. Bus stop into city if needed.

    It's a quiet village with very friendly people and along the beach road you very quickly arrive at the next village that has a mini market and 3 or 4 tavernas. It's not for people looking for nightlife and shops. A car is needed to get there and to be able to go to bigger town with shops and other sights of interest. Our favourite places in Rodakino were Korakas beach cafe; Super market Zafeirakis where the lady was friendly and helpful and Nikos & Anna Taverna. Just a little further away the taverna at Peristeres beach is definitely my favourite place to eat.

    A beautiful old town with lots and lots of little streets...

    A beautiful old town with lots and lots of little streets full of beautiful shops and an array of restaurants. Lots to do, lots to see and many different trips and excursions to be had from this location. Streets are very clean, locals very pleasant (apart from the bus drivers......... rude and abrupt). Sunbeds tend to be expensive - 15 euros a day per person. Overall it's well worth a visit.
