Amazing hotel, looks even better in real life than in the pictures :). It was cosier than we expected. We visited offseason (couple of days around New Year's Eve) and the room was warm, the bath in the living area was a great addition - very cosy and romantic. Delicious Greek breakfast every day. Staff was very attentive. Two minutes from the seaside. If we would visit Rhetymno again, this would be definitely our pick.

We got a free upgrade to a room with sea view and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was even filled for us at no extra charge for the room. The room was very clean and modern. The staff were super friendly and very helpful at all times. A pillow menu helped to find the perfect pillow for a good night's sleep. Every morning there was a different egg dish, which was always freshly prepared. The buffet was delicious, fresh and included different things every day. Super central location. The private car can be parked for free in the adjacent residential area (but you need some time to find a parking space) or in a nearby parking lot for a fee (about 14 euros per day).

The hotel had the greatest view! Waking up with such a view was just wonderful. We swam in the sea a couple of times, you definitely need special rock shoes for this but it was fun. Swimming pool is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinners at the tavern were also very nice, good selection and great atmosphere. Staff and owner are polite, friendly and kind people, ready to help. The location had bakeries, little shops and small taverns nearby but with a car you can reach whatever you want. We were able to visit some great places and beaches. Overall, it was an excellent vacation and we miss Crete already!

    The hotel had everything, nice view, many sunbeds, varmpool cold pool and beach at the door. Staff was amazing and very good hygiene. The rooms had new renovation and was beautiful. The food was also amazing with a lot of verity but the best thing was the pizza at evening, big ups to him for best pizza I eat. Even the animation team was very good for organizing activities they had a lot of creativity and both good and strong personalities that makes the days even better to have fun with them. The reception were very helpful with everything. Also the drinks was amazing. 10 out of 10 everything, see you next year. /Agron

    This is the perfect getaway for peace and quiet. The hotel has preserved the traditional aspects of this old Cretan village. Every room has it's own individual style, which is lovely. There is a welcome drink and a tour offered at check-in. The room itself (we had the Hyades room) was very spacious with all amenities needed. I particularly enjoyed the bath products. Cute little swimming pool with yummie snacks and drinks and the best fries i have ever had. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good, a few traditional Cretan products as well. Good coffee.

    Perfect stay in Crete! Situated a few steps from a great beach and in the most beautiful town in Crete, with excellent rooms and breakfast, fantastic restaurant and bar. But what makes me want to return is above all the staff, all of them warm, friendly and with attention to every detail. Only stayed for a week with an eleven years old, but they made us feel at home. If I return to Crete I will definitely stay at Dyo Suites! Thank you Dyo and a warm goodbye from me and Alexandra! 🤗

    Kalypso resort was such a surprise for us! It's a breathtaking place through rocks and deep sea...we loved it! The staff had a very kind behavioral approach and made us feel at home!     The service level was very high. We found everything which was needed for us and more. We had a lot of options for more kind of restaurant and the 'main' restaurant was fantastic. The 'a la card' restaurant was exclusive and our children were very happy for the parties near koktail bar at nights. I think it was 10.

    Very attractive, lively and super-friendly town with loads of pretty streets to wander around and numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The old town is mainly pedestrianised and easy to navigate, the town is very attractive and the choice of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets is vast. We loved the chilled, relaxed vibe.

    A very good base for very many superb beaches in southern Crete, with a nice beach within the town, some great shops and very good eating options both within the town and the surrounding villages. Not spoiled by mass tourism as many other places in the island, yet neither too remote and hard to reach. Just perfect.

    Adorable, quaint and full of charm.

    Adorable, quaint and full of charm. At night the village centre close the roads, bring out the tables and chairs and the streets are filled with the sights, smells and sounds of Cretan joy. One of the places I will miss the most and can’t wait to return too.

    A small vibrant fishing village which offers plenty of restaurants and accommodations. The beach is clean but a little small. Water is clean with access via a short walk from the village centre. It is quite hilly and may present problems for certain visitors. Evenings are very lively with many restaurants and some shops. It is centrally placed for journeys to others beaches and destinations such as Matala, Spili and so on.

    Our main. reason for visiting the area was because we were attending a wedding. I did find that Adelianos Kampos was located near to a lot of pick ups for tours around Crete to allow you to experience other areas around the island. Many places to eat around the area, but none that really stuck out for me that I would recommend. Just walk around the area because there is much to choose from.

    I really like Platanes, it's not too far from the busy Rethymno centre and slightly more relaxed than being near the main areas, but still has nice restaurants and beach bars etc. and good access to main roads etc. if you like to get out and adventure without getting stuck in congestion, which can sometime be found neare to centre.

    Very near the sea. 2 very good supermarkets, bakery and chemist. Good restaurants. Not hectic busy so excellent for relaxing break.Local villages of Asteri and Chamalevri within walking distance. As is Pagkalochori which has Asani monastery. Wonderful authentic Cretan experience.

    The villa is well placed and suitable for up to 4 people. The local cafes and tavernas provide great food and drink at reasonable prices. The beach is lovely and less crowded than the naturist beach which looked very busy. We used Damnoni water sports for paddleboarding and kayak and they were excellent

    It's a quiet village with very friendly people and along the beach road you very quickly arrive at the next village that has a mini market and 3 or 4 tavernas. It's not for people looking for nightlife and shops. A car is needed to get there and to be able to go to bigger town with shops and other sights of interest. Our favourite places in Rodakino were Korakas beach cafe; Super market Zafeirakis where the lady was friendly and helpful and Nikos & Anna Taverna. Just a little further away the taverna at Peristeres beach is definitely my favourite place to eat.
