I mostly stayed near Kos Town and walked everywhere, averaging about 40k steps a day. I highly recommend learning to ride a bike or, even better, a motorcycle. Renting a car is a good choice, but parking can be tricky.Guest review byGirayTurkey - 10.0
Went in mid September and it was perfect.
Went in mid September and it was perfect. It was not crowded and everyone was super nice. Prices aren`t as cheap as other islands (such as Crete) but it`s cheaper than North Europe. The beaches has no waves (perfect for kids) and the weather was great. The Kardamnia beaches has been beach clubs with great service.Guest review byAgathaBrazil - 10.0
Kefalos is great if you want the quieter holiday.
Kefalos is great if you want the quieter holiday. There is always a breeze so very popular for windsurfing but the days are long and hot with sunshine for about 13 hours so you will appreciate it. There are loads of places to rent cars, quads etc and the island is small so give it a try.Guest review byRussellUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Mastichari is lovely!
Mastichari is lovely! It is a chilled Greek village beside a beach with a small terminal for ferries to / from Kalymnos, and a bus stop that will get you to Kos town or the airport. There is a nice variety of tavernas for traditional Greek food, and a handful of bars. Prices in Mastichari are much cheaper than in Kos town! There are a selection of shops that sell a mixture of groceries, booze, and souvenirs. If you need a big supermarket, head up the hill out of the village and you will come to Constantinos, which has everything you need. There's also plenty of places to hire cars etc. The beach is right beside the village. It is very chilled. There are no noisy bars churning out loud music, or noisy motorised watersports. There are some sunbeds, but the beach is not dominated by them. Most of the holiday makers we saw were, like us, middle aged or older (this is not a criticism!). If you are younger and / or want a lively nightlife, this village may not be for you. Everything is fairly flat (unless you go up that big hill above the village), but you will need to tackle a step or two to get into shops and tavernas. The smaller hotels here will have stairs, not lifts, so do your research if accessibility is an issue for you.Guest review byPetaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tigaki in Kos is a fantastic destination, with beautiful beaches, charming local restaurants, and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a getaway. But what truly made our stay exceptional was Xenos Villas. These villas stand out in the area—brand new, stylish, and designed with so much attention to detail.Guest review byDinos GrigoratosUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It's a very small town, there isn't much to see or do.
It's a very small town, there isn't much to see or do. You can pretty much walk in two directions. But Tigaki is close, there's a bit more variety of restaurants and bars and cafes. The beach in Marmari is perfect though! And it's very safe and quiet. I would recommend renting a car anyway, because there's not much else to do and you will be more flexible that way. The sunsets in Marmari are very beautiful!Guest review byV013Austria - 10.0
It was an amazing stay at Agios Fokas.
It was an amazing stay at Agios Fokas. The Hotel has great facilities and allocated in the nice quiet part of Agios Fokas, not far from thermal water. The atmosphere at the hotel was really nice. The staff were providing an amazing support. Georgios, Annam Joanna, Eleni, Paris, Eva and Ronaldo took care of everything what was needed.Guest review byKsanka - 8.0

We stayed at Mastichari and it proved to be a great choice for the second week of August because there was always some breeze comparing to other places were the heat was unbearable. The beach is long and sandy but has also a lot of seaweed. It’s a small place, nothing exceptional but nice connection to other islands and for touring around Kos. Good food and friendly locals 👍🏻Guest review byElenaItaly - 8.0

Good beach- especially for children as shallow, sandy and calm. Too many sunbeds from huge hotel complex but some beach available. Lovely views out to see and to islands. Some great places to eat. Easy to get a bus to Kos town, to the airport and a couple of other places.Guest review byG McTagueUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The most outstanding experience of Kos town was the people.
The most outstanding experience of Kos town was the people. Everywhere we went we met kind, friendly and generous people. Everything in Kos town is within walking distance from the beach to the old town. Numerous restaurants cater for every need from a simple Gyros to exceptional seafood dishes.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom
