The pool is amazing, so many options for beds/lounges. The room was great, beautiful view from the room. Nice size, very clean, good air-con. The beds and pillows were comfy. Breakfast was great, included in the stay and good variety. You can also order drinks/food at the bar throughout the day by the pool. The location is amazing. Its 200m walk (flat) from the port, so easy to get too. Then right near the bus stop and stairs to get up to the main area. Also had parking onsite, close walk back to the port near the supermarket and beach and restaurants. Would stay there again and would recommend. Loved the time at this hotel. The rooms were clean/tidy and serviced daily, beautiful pool area (towels provided) with great music, bar and snacks available. Breakfast was simple but delicious (recommend the omelette and freddo coffee). The property is really well maintained and cared for. It’s a more relaxing vibe which is exactly what we were after. It’s around a 6 minute walk to the centre of town and is located on a slight hill but it’s really not that steep and is an easy walk up/down. Katerina and her family were so welcoming and hospitable at all times. I’d recommend Avanti to anyone coming to Ios and hope to come back one day. Absolutely no request was too much asked and everything was done with a smile. The breakfast served in our villa was served hot even though they had to travel from the kitchen by golf cart to deliver in our villa. Room service was delivered in no time. I will not recommend anywhere else to stay than Hide out! Hope to be back again soon. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Most of the year, Mylopotas is a party beach.
Most of the year, Mylopotas is a party beach. But in the early and late seasons, even here you can enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. If you're young, this beach is probably the most popular hotspot on the island. If you're a little older, other, quieter beaches may be more appealing. Recommendation: Manganari Beach or Agea Theodoti are alternatives that can be reached by car in just over half an hour and offer typical Greek cuisine as well as pure relaxation on site.Guest review byThomas RiederAustria - 8.0

There is no supermarket in this area. There is a tavern restaurant and a beach hut where you can buy drinks and snacks on the beach. it is located very far from the main town, the journey is long. The area is secluded, there is a not a lot of other properties around, but there is a few so you don't feel completely alone. The beach is stunning and the mountain views are spectacular. The island is the preferred destination for 1st year students, mainly from Ireland, from what we could tell. Not really our croud. It was a bit cheaper here for drinks and food than it was on Santorini or Mykonos, but I probably won't go back. There is not much to do on the island, and the wind was next level. We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights initially, but I am happy that we reduced it to 1 night. We visited a goat cheese farm, which was nice, but after that, we did not want to do anything in the wind, plus, there was not much else to do. The old town was very pretty, with cobble streets and little shops, but not as lively as Mykonos or Santorini at night. It felt like a Sunday. Lovely little island.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We really liked Ios, a great place to stay. At night it was peaceful and quiet but lively during the day and evening. We went into Chora most nights and that was wonderful, lots of bars and restaurants. Also a great bakery on the main road a must if you visit. This is an unspoiled island - love that there is no airport of cruise ships coming and flooding this island with tourists. There is just enough of a crowd to keep it lively without being crowded.
