DenmarkAmazing location, very hospitable host Maria greeted us with her two daughters and provided a lot of help during the days we were there. They gave us very good suggestions and little gifts as well. Maria also gave us a little tour to see some of the other guest rooms that were built into the mountains with the stones as their natural walls. All the rooms look fantastic, and the view on the balcony was amazing. It was truly a pleasure to be hosted by them.

ItalyWe really loved our stay! Beautiful traditional home in the chora of Amorgos. Really central yet quiet, enjoyable and private. The house has been recently refurbished with attention to every details. It also has a really nice patio to spend time outside. The location is perfect to explore the island. Check in was smooth and Skourta was very welcoming and accommodating. Really recommend!

The owner Theo has made a great effort to give his apartments a traditional Greek feel and he has more than succeeded. We stayed in the "Almond Tree" apartment and it was lovely. So many homely touches but also very functional. The kitchen had lots of appliances including a toaster and the shower worked really well with lots of hot water. Theo was available to assist with any questions we had and, understandably, recommended his family restaurant at the port. We found it a great place to eat with very reasonable prices and many tasty dishes. Secondly - the location. Pano Gitonia has a spectacular view of the port and the surrounding islands. There are plenty of chairs and tables to enable Theo's guests to enjoy the vista. Fantastic. Finally - we did not hire a car but most probably people visiting Pano Gitano will. Theo picked us up from the port on arrival and dropped us back when we left so that was great but the rest of the time we walked to and from the port. The walk is 45 minutes on the road and 25 minutes using the footpath and steps which are quite steep (but not dangerous).Guest review byAlastairUnited Kingdom

Lakki is among my favorite places I stayed, especially value for money wise. Family run, super friendly staff, great pool, best (pool bar) cocktails on the island, clean rooms, big spacious outdoor area creatively decorated, directly on the beach and short walk to the centre, and most tourists / travellers staying there were very friendly and relaxed, so loved the relaxed vibe there. We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali.
We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali. We had a great place to stay in with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The beach is very close as are the hiking trails. So many great restaurants in Aegiali. We also really appreciated that it was peaceful and everyone was friendly. Wonderful place with little tourists, amazing views on the sea, authentic food and atmosphere. Never felt so agreeably remote from modern life, without any compromise on comfort at the places we stayed. This was an adorable little town. There was a little shopping (like a few stores) and some great restaurants. The area is not too touristy. Our kids met up with the local kids every night to play soccer and that absolutely made the trip fantastic for all of us. Katapola is very convenient because the port is there.
Katapola is very convenient because the port is there. It is recommended if you are going to rent a car, because there is easy access to Chora and the rest of the island. It is a quiet place and has a lot of Tavernas. "Mouragio" is recommended for fresh fish. The salad with Xinotiron is a must try in Amorgos. Xilokeratidi is a nice long walk from Katapola (maybe 15 minutes) , where one can enjoy the sunset. Enjoy your cocktails at "Fata Morgana" and an amazing pulled pork sandwich. "Yukali" on the other hand offers fresh mussels and seafood pasta topped with excellent service. If you like a long hike continue your walk from Xilokeratidi to Agia Paraskevi for the sunset.
