Much more interesting than expected -- so much better than a typical boring resort town. It's a real city, with a beautiful and quite interesting old town, lots of pretty open areas, and the gritty main part of town away from water is also interesting for urban exploration. There are enough things to do in town as well. The sea shore is beautiful and very long. Water is crystal clear on calm days. It's a rocky beach, which I prefer to sand. Food is great, people are very friendly. It doesn't get nearly as crowded on the beach as in a typical resort town (despite hundreds of hotels along the shore), perhaps because the sea shore in the main part of town is so long (about 4 miles / 6 km of beaches, in my estimation)Guest review byVictorUnited States - 10.0

I’ve been traveling to Kobuleti for several years in a row. I really like the mix of resort vibes, plenty of cafés and restaurants with good food, and the fairly clean sea. The sunsets are stunning, and the promenade is long and beautiful. Away from the center, you can find the Kobuleti wetlands – a beautiful green area with a landscape unusual for Georgia (there are ferns and white moss). It’s a bit uncomfortable to walk out of the water on the pebbles, but that’s manageable. I really love this resort!Guest review byKudryavtseva - 8.0

Being very close to the border with Turkey, there is, unfortunately, TOO MUCH heavy truck traffic on the only highway along the beach. Be CAREFUL (walking) crossing the road to the beach! Be careful of this host on all aspects.
Be careful of this host on all aspects. He mentioned that he speaks 3 languages and literally he told me that he doesn’t speak English. His friend guest in the place smoke everywhere and he doesn’t hold himself from doing gas in the hallway or in the kitche. The cigarettes smell are everywhere.
