- From $111.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 349 reviewsThe location is just perfect. 2 minute drive to Morlich beach, 15 drive to Cairgorm mountain resort(ski resort) 2 minute drive to reindeer experience and 4 minutes drive to Aviemore village Driving into the site I was awed by the backdrop of snowy mountains. Our first night we met a family using the bbq area make sure to ask about this. You can light your own fire too. Im a keen photographer and captured some lovely night time photography even a glimpse of the northern lights via camera. So one very happy costumer here. We will most definitely be back. Thanks so so much Badaguish forest lodges.Guest review byJackieIreland

The staff could not have been more helpful. We had to stay an extra night which they had no problem accommodating us. There was a pool, steam room, sauna. Town was close and you could have even walked. There are trails and so much more.Guest review byLoriUnited States
- From $138.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 1,552 reviewsVery warm welcome throughout our stay, right down to a personalised welcoming note in our room. The breakfast has various options and is well cooked and delicious. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant. It is an award winner with an Indian flavour. The menu is short and the food beats most. It’s quite simply delicious.Guest review byGraemeFrance

Breakfast and dinner were very good. Fun to be in an old mansion. Room was huge. I love this neck of the woods.
I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. If the weather is not so good there are plenty of lovely places you can drive to within 45 minutes.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful little town in a stunning location.
Beautiful little town in a stunning location. The town is decorated with the most amazing hanging baskets. Several pubs, all seemed to be busy and offered good value food. The town is ideally located for exploring the beautiful areaGuest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Everything in walking distance , chippy , charity shop, bakery, bus stop, could see hills from town center. Great bus ride from Aviemore ...so much nature . Hotel was very good and much cheaper than Aviemore . Was worth doing the bus ride . If you come by car the scenic tourist route goes from here to Aberdeen.Guest review byJason Ralph JonathanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kingussie is ideal for people who want beautiful walks or a bit of climbing or cycling. There’s a fantastic bike shop called Bothy Bikes where you can hire e- bikes to explore the area. The scenery in this area is outstandingly beautiful. There is the potential to see local wildlife if you are quiet.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I was not visiting Newtonmore, but climbing. Newtonmore is a nice village with some good hotel restaurants and bars and is in a lovely setting in the hills. its probably a good centre for a touring holiday, and there are quite a few good places easily reached from here.Guest review byDave_ShanksUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. We preferred the peace and quiet of Boat of Garten for our stay in the area.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 8.0

Nestled amongst the mountains with paths and tracks leading all over what’s not to like? Sadly, the general facilities here have gone. No shop for example. One place did have a sign out for coffee, but there could be an opportunity here for someone. Worth climbing up the Cateran Trail heading south to get stunning views looking down on the village. Also visit the stone circle, old bridge and the church. Just soak up the atmosphere!Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0
International dark sky park and local ski centre.
International dark sky park and local ski centre. Didn’t have enough time to visit other local attractions like the castle ruins, Jacobite battle sites etc. could spend weeks up here if you’re outdoor people!Guest review bymichael - 2.0
Very disappointing stay.
Very disappointing stay. Staff were rude and unhelpful - especially at breakfast. Dining staff Bella’s behaviour was shockingly unprofessional and not acceptable. Dirty, smelly rooms, one with a broken bed. Complaints were brushed off with a simple “sorry.” We booked 4 rooms for family visiting from Canada and deeply regret choosing this hotel. Definitely not worth the 4-star rating.Guest review byNiaz - 8.0
