FAQs about hotels on Anglesey
A Haven of Wildlife
The small, yet geologically and ecologically important, island of Anglesey is off the north-western coast of Wales. Home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge while he is on RAF duty, the island is known for its rugged coastline, most of which is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Its largest town is Holyhead, set on smaller Holy Island and from where ferries to Ireland depart. Also on this island, Trearddur Bay has a Blue-Flag beach and one of the few Anglesey hotels with swimming pools. Another beautiful beach is found at Cemaes Bay on the main island’s northern coast.
Moelfre, further along the coast, is a sleepy fishing village, while Beaumaris in the east has a 13th-century castle partially surrounded by a moat and looking towards Snowdonia National Park on the Welsh mainland.
To the south-west the elegant Menai Bridge spans one of the narrowest stretches of the Menai Strait, separating Gwynedd from Anglesey. Another bridge makes the crossing in neighbouring Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch – the village with Europe’s longest name, though it’s usually abbreviated to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll which is still quite a mouthful.
Llangefni is in the centre of the island and in its district is Capel Coch, home to the only Anglesey spa hotel, available on Booking.com.

- From US$146.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 535 reviewsThe hotel is simple, but it was great for us. They are pet friendly which was ideal as we had our 2 dogs with us. We arrived quite late on the ferry from Dublin and the communication n how to get in was great. In the morning when we asked for recommendations for breakfast because it was already late they offered and accommodated us and our dogs inside the pub. The breakfast was very tasty. I highly recommend.Guest review bywaneskaIreland

Visited Short Stack. Great walk.
Visited Short Stack. Great walk. Great food from a local fish and chips shop. The town was very walkable for basic needs. Heard there are at least two nice beaches. The people were very friendly. Several times I was asked if I needed help as I was walking.Guest review byMegSUnited States - 10.0
Beaumaris is a beautiful place .
Beaumaris is a beautiful place . The castle and the gaol are certainly worth a visit.we did think fish and chips were expensive. The car parking was £7.50 which was okay if you were staying all day but expensive just for a couple of hours. Couldn't always get in the one where you could pay by the hour.Guest review bysueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Pretty town on the Menai Strait with lots of historical interest (the Telford Menai suspension bridge, the Victorian Britannia railway bridge). Lovely views across the water. Great pubs and restaurants available, particularly Dylan’s (a small North Walian chain with local produce) and The Freckled Angel. Easy to get around on foot. No station, that is in Llanfair PG or Bangor, but there is a bus interchange.Guest review byCharlotteUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Llangefni had everything we needed, including a wide selection of nearly all the main supermarkets! We also enjoyed an excellent Chinese takeaway from the one with the red signage. There is a one-way system to get your head around. It's well worth parking in the car park which gives access to The Dingle - a path by the stream and through fabulous trees which give way to fields and hills, ending up at Llan lake/reservoir. It's worth persevering on the path to see the lake. The other reason is to spot red squirrels although we weren't lucky.Guest review byFrancesUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Ohhhhh....Trearddur Bay is just lovely. Instantly at home.
Ohhhhh....Trearddur Bay is just lovely. Instantly at home. This curved, delight of a bay has everything you need to interest the family plus your family dog. Beautiful beach with rock pools and golden sand beach areas. Perfect for throwing that ball for your doggy friend. Sunsets.....amazing.......rainbows.....amazing. Just stunning.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 2.0

We were given a room in the annexe which is usually kept for workers who are in Anglesey. It was a very poor room no storage for clothes small toilet /shower room cleanliness was not good the whole place needs a revamp both inside and out . This hotel is not worth the £450 we paid for 3 nights inc breakfast and your company should do more to check these places out prior to recommending them,we had no mirror in the bedroom no hot towel rail in toilet or indeed any place to put wet towels our stay was a complete disaster and we will not stay there again even the kettle had a dead fly in itGuest review byArchieUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The beach was very sandy and not too busy.
The beach was very sandy and not too busy. It was dog-friendly as well. We visited our friend who is one of the locals so we didn't travel about much. We are coming back a month or so later as enjoyed our stay that much!!Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Beautiful situation.
Beautiful situation. Tent had good sized beds but mattresses need upgrading. Log burner and wood provided in tent as well as a mini fridge (although this was pretty filthy). The toilets and shower were dirty. The shower floor was a big dirty puddle. The kitchen was well equipped but not clean. The general bins were overflowing and rubbish had been left next to the bins and was smelly. It wouldn’t take much for this to be a fantastic site. Hard to find information online and booking through the direct website was impossible.Guest review bykatharineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful & picturesque village by the sea.
Beautiful & picturesque village by the sea. Everyone one we met gave us all a warm & friendly welcome. We'd highly recommend to everyone 😁 The Blue Olive & The Oystercatcher were fantastic local restaurants offering high quality food & lovely places to eat. The local cafes & shops also excellent.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We loved the " feel" of the beautifully decorated caravan.
We loved the " feel" of the beautifully decorated caravan. The space theme in the bedroom with two beds is so tasteful! Outside is a great sitting area and beach toy box. Games and books for youngsters are a lovely bonus! It is situated very near to Benllech shops etc and all is a short walk away.Guest review byAnnUnited Kingdom
