Lovely modern, comfortable, and quiet hotel that we have previously stayed at several times before. Excellent boulangerie and wine shop next door, as well as several resturants and McDonalds. Good breakfast. Much better than present twice the price 4 star Novatel in Bordeaux that has no breakfast. Many lovely beaches to visit nearby.

Great quiet location in the center of Biarritz near the park and market. Seven minutes to the beach, three minutes to the big parking lot with a possibility of online parking space reservation. We stayed at this lovely new hotel as a family and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t have breakfast, it looked beautifully presented and very inviting. The location in this charming small town is peaceful and picturesque—perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. As a newly opened hotel, everything is modern and in excellent condition. We truly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location in the centre of Saint Jean de Luz, close to the bus and train station so very easy to visit the surrounding areas (San Sebastian, Guéthary, Biarritz,...). Close to the beach, the shops, very clean, staff extremely helpful. They even had a shower that we were able to use after checkout and after going to the beach !

Extremely convenient location for Bidart beach and Biarritz was just a short drive. At the rear of the hotel you find a beautiful walk suitable for dogs even though when we visited in April we could take the dog for a paddle without any restrictions. A superb minimalist but trendy hotel.

    I booked this hotel for a rest with my daughter during the holidays. It is a beautiful hotel with a long history. It was founded in 1909 and has retained its identity, imbued with the entire history of France, from royalty to the present day. The room is typically French small, but has all the facilities for a stay including a very comfortable bed. We ordered breakfast in the room and they brought us very fresh and delicious pastries, starting with fresh baguettes in various types, croissants, and other famous French buns. Even if we had no desire to eat, it was impossible not to be tempted. :)) We had dinner at the restaurant and also celebrated my birthday. The cuisine exceeded my expectations, with very refined and beautifully presented dishes. And most importantly - it was delicious! Thank you very much to the chef! Used the sauna as well, it was mostly very quiet and we were able to relax. In front of the hotel is Grand beach, a lovely bay, and a shore for swimming and relaxing.

    We loved the town, we enjoyed the variety of shops and restaurants. The beach was awesome. We visited Dune Pilat, climbed to the top and were astounded by the views. We would have liked to see much more of the area but our time was short. It was a taste that left us wanting to savour much much more, hopefully soon.

    Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a very pleasant little town on the South-west coast of France. Its beach is nicely sheltered from the wild Bay of Biscay, making it safe and attractive. We stayed in a central hotel with easy access to some lovely bars and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. It's an easy drive into the countryside; we climbed a mountain called Larrun, part of the Pyrenees, then easily back to St Jean de Luz for a swim and out for dinner! Also some good local shops.

    We know the area and were primarily there to visit a friend.

    We know the area and were primarily there to visit a friend. We were on a budget so had to use public transport, which turned out to be super easy to use. You can pay with cash or bank card directly on the bus (you can only buy one ticket with a bank card, however) or you can buy a loaded card with ten tickets (which you can use for more than one person) at machines at train stations, principal stops and tobacconists. Timetables are given at bus stops and are accurate. Make sure you know when the public holidays are, as these affect public transport considerably. The bus journey to Biarritz station is less than half an hour (depending on the route they take) and from there you can travel quickly and inexpensively to St Jean de Luz, Bayonne and elsewhere. The three towns I have mentioned are so close by, yet so contrasting and are all worth a visit. The number 36 bus (a little further away from the apartment - maybe 8-10 mins walk) give you access to beaches up the coast, like La Madrague. I used Google Maps a lot and found its advise re: public transport super helpful. My teenage girls loved the frothy hot chocolate at Chez Cazenave in Bayonne, https://www.chocolats-bayonne-cazenave.fr/4-nos-chocolats. On our last night, we ate at Casa Juan Pedro, http://casajuanpedro.com/en/home, in Biarrtiz's old port. They were welcoming, and the food was delicious and simply presented (our party includes seafood enthusiasts and picky eaters).

Good public transport links, not expensive, to be able to visit other nearby villages and towns of the Basque Country Lovely walk up over the headland, or instead -a little stroll along the promenade. Visited Hondaribbia in Spain by a very short boat trip that leaves from Hendaye port. Beautiful little village-nice pintxos in the restaurants ! And good view from up by the castle. The historic little train de la Rhune up the mountainside not to be missed-but book ahead-it gets full. The chateau d’Abbadia is interesting.

    Lovely town and area with lots to explore by foot, bike or car. Not sure on the public transport links as we drove. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Friendly people. Perfect for our family (with 2 boys aged 13 and 16)

    Great place, the vibe is amazing there.

    Great place, the vibe is amazing there. The village center is super charming. The beaches are beautiful, and you have a huge coast to beach walks if you like. Also, the lake there is really nice, I saw people swimming and paddling there, it looked fun, and walk around the lake is also great. The sea temperature was great when compared to what I am used to in Portugal. :) Everywhere you look you see surf! Really amazing vibe there.

    The area is beautifully maintained with excellent roads and many cycle routes and forest walks. Families have the choice of the ocean or the large and safe freshwater lakes. Very popular in high summer so book early or be prepared to be a little further from the water. Mosquito density varies in summer but take protection.
