Clean and cosy, with plentiful breakfast. Location worked well for aus, as we were attending an event, but it is on the outskirts.

The host Ismo is a real celebrity in Finland. Staying on the ship is unique. The breakfasts with the special view on the spectacular sunsets - unforgetable! The beds are super comfortable, cabins cosy and perfect for godnight's sleep. You can use the kitchen all day long, relax have tea or coffee on the upper deck. Ismo offered us a personal lift to the university campus where we had meetings. Highly recommended for both business stays, retreats and family escapades. All within a walking distance. We loved the serenity, beautiful surrounds and peacefulness all round. We had a room with lake view. The spa facilities and the huge gym were great. Dinner and breakfast topped the experience.

Fantastic place - friendly helpful staff, great food, lovely ambience, comfortable, good size room, decor good, location good. No down sides, best hotel in Kuopio by far (and I've stayed in them all, just wish I'd found this one first).

This hotel is the best in Kuopio! The hotel is located on the shore of the large Kallanvesi lake and the view is wonderful. In front of the hotel and next to it is the wonderful Väinölänniemi free big park surrounded by water. This park has wonderful natural beaches and the area is the safest area in Kuopio to move around. In this area, women can move in the evening without any risk to them.
