Everything about my stay at El Palauet del Priorat was exceptional, beginning with the very friendly and helpful hosts, Dolors and Pepe, and all of the other staff. My suite was very spacious, stylish, comfortable and well appointed, as were the restaurant and lounge. The restaurant offers really delicious food and wine (including some excellent wines that Pepe produces himself!). The town of Cornudella del Montsant is lively and very well situated to use as a base to explore the Priorat area by car or bicycle, with its many bodegas and hilltop villages. It is also very close to the spectacular cliff formations and castle ruins of Siurana, which offers incredible hiking and world class rock climbing. I look forward to visiting Priorat again one day and would happily stay at El Palauet del Priorat again!

Charming room, lovely features of large exposed timber beams, tiled floor and rugs - quiet too. Large comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Bonus feature was the open fire in the communal lounge. Free car parking was only a short walk away. We found a lovely bar, and restaurant, and place to breakfast just around the corner in the town square. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

    Everything about my stay at El Palauet del Priorat was exceptional, beginning with the very friendly and helpful hosts, Dolors and Pepe, and all of the other staff. My suite was very spacious, stylish, comfortable and well appointed, as were the restaurant and lounge. The restaurant offers really delicious food and wine (including some excellent wines that Pepe produces himself!). The town of Cornudella del Montsant is lively and very well situated to use as a base to explore the Priorat area by car or bicycle, with its many bodegas and hilltop villages. It is also very close to the spectacular cliff formations and castle ruins of Siurana, which offers incredible hiking and world class rock climbing. I look forward to visiting Priorat again one day and would happily stay at El Palauet del Priorat again!

    A lovely house on the road from Falset and Bellmunt, mainly a restaurant with a few rooms. Nina and Roger sind wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful. My room was large, comfortable and quiet, excellent for a longer stay (I was there 4 days). The house is surrounded by gardens and the family produces much of its own produce and some tasty olive oil, as well, which can be purchased. While there I was lucky that they had just harvested some calcots, a sort of leek or onion that is grilled and served with a delicious sauce. I had this with some roast lamb for lunch one day on the sunny terrace with a good local wine from Priorat.

    Fantastic and unique location with stunning views from the rooms and terrasse. Attentive, friendly and professional staff. The manager, Miquel, is a real asset who presents the domain and the wines with great passion and he was very inspiring. The wines are astonishingly good all of them, the food is good too. We would highly recommend it to wine and nature lovers. This is a good find.

    The house was beautiful, immaculatey clean and well equipped. The scenery and views were spectacular and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is so well situated and as climbers one of the best crags in the Europe is found at the bottom of the garden. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife and was incredibly peaceful. We can't wait to return!

    If you like a sense of adventure but a the same time getting away from it all then Falset is a lovely place to stay. Lots of wineries around the area, some nice restaurants, and good for walking.. Falset also has a public swimming pool which also very nice.

    Porrera is in the heart of Spain's premier Priorat wine region and has 24 vintners in this village of about 440 residents. If you're a wine lover you could spend more than a weekend based in Porerra visiting wineries and learning about the reqion. Great local restaurants, though limited hours based on local customs. Short drive to Tarragona but it's a bit of a hike to Barcelona and Valencia (2 plus hours to both) so we decided to spend a long weekend here between visiting both cities and will definitely return to explore some more.

    Cultural heritage site, with ruins of the castle that was one of the last bastions of the Arabs when it fell to Ramon Berenguer IV. The resident population is 30 but during the day large numbers of day-trippers arrive to enjoy the scenery. Access is by way of a windy and difficult road, so do not expect to move easily from place to place. The scenery is stunningly beautiful and there is great scope for walking and hiking but best to come prepared.

    small town but very close to the wine region of Priorat, there are over 50 wineries around where you can easily spend a week visiting and tasting all the fine wine. We stayed and had dinner at Mas Trucafort where you should totally try their food, it's magnificent. Try their octopus, home-made soup and lamb shank!

    A most interesting location, with the mountains beyond, hilltop villages nearby, the ancient monastery, and the original Priorat winery which was taking in the grape harvest beginning wine-making when we were there. Excellent winery tour. Good food and wine locally.
