Our apartment was situated about halfway between Benalmádena Marina and Torremolinos Centre so a pleasant walk. Plenty of entertainment within an easy walk. Torremolinos centre is vibrant and always busy with numerous bars restaurants etc. Beaches are lovely with great comfortable sun beds. A wonderful place for wandering. The old town and bridges are beautiful. The streets are well maintained and the centre felt safe. Great for taking in the architecture, gardens and plentiful cafes and bars. First visit to Benalmadena and only wish I’d discovered the place years ago. Very beautiful and as a solo female traveller felt very safe. It was a but rough in the bars just outside where we stayed but overall it was a nice place with pretty squares & nice shops. Lots of restaurants with a wide selection of outside eateries. Many golfers so lots of places had tvs showing sports. It was atmospheric & friendly. Beaches in all shapes and sizes to suit everybody. Secluded or busy take you're pick. A bustling almost pedestrian town with quaint architecture and plenty of shops, bars and eateries catering to all tastes. In one week we sampled authentic spanish cuisine, an Indian curry, perfectly cooked steaks, Pasta, a traditional Moroccan feast an Irish breakfast and all manner of local tapas and sweet treats (There are also Chinese, Mexican, German, and Thai cuisines on offer too if you look around). Nerja still retains much of it's traditional spanish charm with many feasts, festivals and religious history on display for all to see and engage in. The old town of Estepona was lovely . It was a pity not to be able to swim at La Rada beach as it was so inviting. I felt there is a lot of construction work going on in Estepona at the moment so it was hard to get a sense of it character. The unesco archeological site don’t take out our breath but castle and centre of the town is magnificent.. also mountains surrounding around city is unique. We find the location perfect. For the best food , entertainment from brilliant staff a must visit is The Garden Bar. Photo of owners with my family & the collection of butterflies. From visiting Mijas Pueblo, Fuengirola & the markets. Lots of lovely restaurants in the surrounding area including La Cala.
