Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It was also very bright and airy. Getting to the heart of old stone was just a short walk away. We were spoilt for choice when it came to food and shops.     Excellent location, although you might be inclined to think it is not so great being far from Old Town, but the silence, the air and the parking are worthy. Good enough breakfast, you can order something to eat until 9:30 pm, stunning view from the restaurant with a swimming pool, flowers and a castle in the background 😎 Very comfy beds, nice mountain air, silence, excelent temperatures, very good conditions to sleep. The room was big enough, with marble floor, a small refrigerator and big storing space. Free public parking in front of the hotel and if you can’t find a spot there you can still find one at the parking of the restaurant next to the hotel. We highly recommend that restaurant! Ondaretta beach is about 15 min walking and it is a very nice stroll indeed. All in all, great stay at this hotel 🤟

    The welcome was great, the staff were really pleasant. We got a lovely room with a sea and mountain view. It was our wedding anniversary and there was a nice bottle of cava in the room. They were very thoughtful. Breakfast was good and the Thalassotherapy spa was very relaxing. We used the spa every day. The location was great as it had a beach, walks, several restaurants and some nice bars in the immediate location. Plus it was a 20 minute drive into the centre of San Sebastian from there.

    This was the second time I visited San Sebastián and stayed at the same hotel. Niza Hotel is great. Location is perfect, just in front of the beach and close by the city center (walking distance). I chose a room with sea view and was very beautiful. Also the room was very nice, with super comfortable beds and pillows. Personnel was very kind and always available to help us with advice. I will come back.

    Very good hotel, I highly recommend it. We stayed 2 nights in room 111. Bed was confortable, a little noisy next door to us, but it quilted down by 22:00. Very nice room for a budget stay close to the highway. Good internet. Very friendly staff, English speaking. Free parking and lot of it. Driving distance to groceries, but a very nice restaurant in the hotel.

    The views were spectacular. The drive in is along a one lane, windy, up and down road. May make some a bit worried but the destination is worth it. The room and common area was spotless and comfortable. The only question would be the value of breakfast. That is found to be expensive. Overall, I highly recommend.

    Nice lively city though very busy with tourists. Plenty of things to see and do. The San Telmo Museum is well worth a visit. Pintxos bars are obviously one of the main attractions but there are plenty of good restaurants too.

    Getaria is very nice, a small harbour with restaurants and bars, however when we visited it there were many holiday makers and it was almost impossible to park, I would recommend the Mayflower restaurant, the food and service were excellent

    If you stay for a few days and want to explore the area and get involved with the local culture then this is the hotel for you. If you are just passing through and require an early and quiet evening then this probably isn't the place for you as you are above admittedly an excellent restaurant but unfortunately a little too noisy. Great location though with plenty of parking.

    I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected to go there for the hiking opportunities that offer a really nice experience. I did the “PR-GI 3006 La Senda de Urbia” and I really recommend it as a half day activity. Great views and lots of horses and other animals along the way. Another activity I’m happy to recommend is the guided tour of the Arrikrutz cave. The caves are impressive on their own and the guide really added another dimension of interest with context and explanations.

    Orio is a lovely little sea side town.

    Orio is a lovely little sea side town. Not picturesque as such, the beach is the main draw and the town has shops, bars and restaurants enough to make a stay fun. The locals all seemed very friendly and welcoming. In this area few speak Engligh (one attraction for us) but all the shop and restaurant staff were patient while we worked through Google Tranlate or my little phrase book.
