The place looks very authentic with an amazing view on a farm and the Nile The personnel was really friendly and helpful. Quality of services was so good for the price. We recommend to try the food. Really tasty sustainable, organic food for a very reasonable price. We had a really warm welcome with sherif and his lovely dog zazu. Sherif was really helpful answering all of our requests and giving us travel advice and contacts Over all there is a very relaxed vibe to escape the hectic rest of egypt

The owner Mohammed and his team went beyond everything to make the visit a success. We were welcomed as friends, had delicious meals that were freshly prepared (fish, beef, kefta) and got the best advices. We went on a boat trip on lake nasser to have another possibility to see the temples of Ramses and Nefertari. All unforgetable experiences. The room itself was also very good. Thank you Mohammed! Beautiful historic hotel by the Nile River, very well maintained, highly recommend for a luxury stay from star to finish. Ensure to take the tour and see Agatha Christie's room where she lived for a year to write Death on the Nile. I stayed one night before boarding our Nile Cruise but wish we stayed at least 2.

Everyone we met at the hotel were very kind and helpful. They arranged our transpotations between the airport and the hotel. The breakfast was very good! It was 20 minutes walk to Abu Simbel. We were able to get the tickets of sound and light show at the hotel. We got the recomendation of the restaurant for dinner. The next day we went to see the sunrise. We were so happy staying at this hotel!

    Location of the house was fantastic, overlooking the Nile river with the feluccas passing by, away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. We spent so much time on the terrace just watching the beautiful view. The apartment we stayed in was spacious and spotless. Shower was hot and strong. WiFi was fast and stable. Marta and Osama were very welcoming and accommodating. They arranged our transfers at arrival and departure, and we enjoyed so much this short private boat ride to the tranquil Elephantine Island. They also helped to arrange our day trip to Abu Simbel, and even prepared a delicious packed lunch for us. Laundry and meals could also be arranged upon request.

    The resort is located a bit far but easily reached by a free tuk tuk provided by the resort. Having said that it’s location has the most breathtaking views. The resort is very well maintained, beautifully built and complimented by it’s decor and vibrant colours. Breakfast and dinner was of good quality and we truly loved having dinner overlooking an incredible view. The pool is a plus to the resort and we happen to use it alot.Last but not least the staff are super friendly and helpful. Thank you Abdull Sad,Tarak and all the rest whom we happen to meet while on our stay . Hoping to see you again someday.

    We book a room at this hotel for one night stay prior our Nile Cruise. Our flight arrival time was 8:30 a.m. and I had ask the hotel if they had a storage room were we could leave our luggage while our room became available. The hotel reply was quick and accommodating. To our surprise, once we arrived at the hotel, they had a room ready for us. We were so exhausted and happy to find a place to lay our head. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

    The staff was very friendly, the room was very nice, with a very good view of the Nile River, and it was very clean, has good restaurant service and at an affordable price. They prepared breakfast box for us when we needed to leave very early. We had an external tour to Abu Simbel and the hotel was kind enough to send us to the tour with a person from their security team to take care of us.

    Visit the temples in the afternoon (after 03.00pm) because the is nobody (except perhaps some extroverted sceaming chinese girls - but once they are gone). Yes, it´s hotter than in the morning and the light is not prefect. but you will have the temple for yourself and you will be able to make perfect photos from inside.

    The stay at Abdu’s houseboat was nothing but mind blowing.

    The stay at Abdu’s houseboat was nothing but mind blowing. I stayed in the houseboat for 5 days with my mother. We both feel like we gained a friend in Abdu and hope to see him again one time. He is so kind and caring! Not only did he help us arrange everything in terms of tours (to Filae, Abu Simbel, a Nubian village, the botanical garden and more) and activities (Falluca sailing, Zaraha sand meditation, bird watching trip, exploring the Souk, swimming in the Nile, transfer to Luxor via Edfu and Kom Ombo and more), he also helped us with his second smaller boat to get everywhere, get local products for local prices, assimilate to the local culture by clothing and customs, cooked for us (he also made sure all food was well washed), helped us donate goods and clothes to the local school, and assisted us in getting tickets for the night train from Luxor to Caïro, ATM withdrawals and simcards). We truly think he has a heart of gold and works with honesty not soley for money. His houseboat has everything you need for an authentic stay. Our cabin was spacious enough for the two of us and had an amazing view over the Elephantine Island. The terraces was facing the beautiful botanical garden on Kitchener Island. Due to the placement of the boat you have some shade in the morning and you can enjoy the sunset in the evening. If you look for a real experience and want to dive in the culture and day to day livestyle on the Nile, the boat is definitely something for you. We are truly greatful we’ve met Abdu and can definitely recommend a stay with him on his lovely houseboat. We hope to see him again one day!

    We spent a lot of our time just enjoying Elephantine island, which is quite, safe, and very relaxing, compared to much of the rest of what we experienced in Egypt. There is certainly enough to explore in Aswan that one could easily spend several days.

    Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking.

    Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking. We visited around noon on a blessed day during Ramadan, so there weren't many tourists. At times, it felt like we had the entire sites to ourselves. You can walk or take a transport cart to the sites.

    Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region. It s a great stopover for a break after the madness of the tourist sites. The Nubian village ( with the colored walls, where all the motor boats end up) on the other side of the town has been a place where i could have made local friends if I stayed longer. Of course the money making is also there in the mindset, and it s over touristic but you experience the vib of a local village if you stay overnight there. I suggest Ekadolli guesthouse for location outside the touristic area, still close enough to the village, up a hill offering nice view at the Nil. Nebro Guesthouse is better if you wish to wake up right beside the river, in the heart of the village but quiet enough.

    In my case it was a check on my to do list.

    In my case it was a check on my to do list. Went from Luxor day one, over night in Abu Simbel town and day 2 visit the tempel for 2 hours, then back to Luxor, a trip 2 x 500 km. Interesting to have seen, impressive story!
