- From US$47.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 282 reviewsNice nostalgic place to stay, I've been there several times in the past. I visited 6 lakes there: 2 bigger in Elva, another bigger one near this place and also three smaller lakes within 3 km. Nice walking path in the forest, nice birdsong around the building and in the forest (in spring). The path of Tartu ski marathon is very beautiful, like a wide highway in the middle of the forest. I like the small houses spread around the main house between trees. The toilets and shower room are common for the whole level and there are separate levels for men and women (men in the ground floor). There's a possibility of using fridge (check the cable first that it is plugged in!), microwave and a small water boiler for boiling about 1 litre of water. The water in the taps had a strong iron taste so I didn't use it for drinking, not even boiled. There was TV in the room, wifi worked, even with IPv6 directly from the internet service provider. Curtains in the room could be closed for night pretty well so the early morning brightness didn't come too much in the room. It was quiet during the night and the window could be closed well enough so that the bird sounds didn't wake up too early. The gunshots (as for practice by some people who come and practice there) could be disturbing to some, they echo kilometres away in the forest and to Elva but it wasn't that bad for me; in the building they are less audible than when being outside.Guest review byRiivoEstonia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 390 reviewsWhat a beautiful stay it was at Nina Kordon's Guesthouse! First of all, thank you for being so patient and understanding while I was trying to speak Estonian and remember all the words, It was such a pleasure to speak the language after so many years! Now about the actual guesthouse - it was marvellous, so authentic, very clean, and has everything you might need. Also such a close distance to the beach (literally less than a minute's walk) and the possibility of looking at the beautiful sunset over Peipsi Lake. Additionally, I must mention the breakfast. Your pickles will forever live in my memory! And by serving them for breakfast, you just stole my heart, cos I'm a true pickle girl. My husband was amazed by the variety of breakfast options and he especially enjoyed the linden tea you had. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!Guest review byStefaniaIreland
- From US$76.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,156 reviewsThe staff was so helpful and caring! I couldn't check until aft 8 pm and the staff made sure that I able to get a key. They sent me their phone number and helped me when I had any questions. The room was really charming! It had a warmth that you won't find in a hotel. Also, I requested a quiet room and my room was so quiet! Also, the Villa is centrally located, so I could walk wherever I needed to go. It is a very short walk to the Villa from the bus station. I highly recommend the Villa if you would like a charming environment with an exceptionally caring staff!Guest review byLisaLithuania

The location is stunning – peaceful, elegant, and full of charm, with beautiful architecture and a warm, almost royal atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail truly exceeded my expectations. The host was exceptional – kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to every guest’s needs. I didn’t just feel like a guest, I felt truly cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, peace, and authentic hospitality. I will definitely return!Guest review byAlinaRomania
- From US$70.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 146 reviewsThe owner is very nice and helpful, the room was very clean and super cozy and the manor has a unique and very pleasant atmosphere. There is a very well equipped, spatious and cozy kitchen. We used the hotel as a base for bike trips around. The area was great for that because it was very beautiful and there were almost no cars on the roads.Guest review byInsa Ingeborg CharlotteLatvia

Tartu is the intellectual capital of Estonia and has some great museums. Eesti Rahva Museum is a must go. A fantastic history of Estonia and the finno-ugrik peoples. Vanemuine opera is good and good value. Loodus museum is better than Tallinn. Great restaurants and easy to get around on public transport.Guest review byGilesAustralia - 10.0
The hostess was great.
The hostess was great. They provided additional information regarding a tour of the castle and the area. The breakfast menu was provided the evening before and it was extensive. I checked off just about everything on offer and then worried it would be too much, but the portions were adjusted accordingly, and thus I was delighted to have been able to taste all of what was offered. As for the area...restful.Guest review byJAANCanada - 10.0

This can be dubbed the garden town of Estonia (which in itself could be named the garden country of Europe). Every detached house has an immaculate garden with lots of flowers in the summer and the town government does not save pennies on making streets floral and beautiful. There are small and larger forests in the neighbourhood and there are two small beaches bordering natural lakes in the town centre. For those looking for vibrant nightlife, this is not the place to be. From Elva you can take the train or bus to Tartu from the 19th century wooden train station. In the other direction, the train goes to Valga from where you can travel onwards into Latvia. Overall, i would think that 3 days is about right to explore Elva (and its excellent small scale restaurants) and the surroundings.Guest review byLeoDCBelgium - 10.0
Everything was just wonderful!
Everything was just wonderful! It's a nice and quiet place, great for stopping by after a long ride. All the facilities are great and the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The place is a walking distance away from the lake, which offers a great view. I would 100% reccomend this place!!! :)Guest review byLolitaLatvia - 10.0

Literally gorgeous, such a hidden gem!
Literally gorgeous, such a hidden gem! It is mainly a student city and I was there for a conference, so I got the full academic vibes, but the town itself is beautiful! The centre is almost exclusively very aesthetically pleasing neo-classical architecture, there are many café and restaurant options around, and the locals are kind and welcoming. It really feels like a city that is proud of itself and its heritage, and is happy to show it!Guest review byMargaritaSweden
